While I thought it too, there is actually method to his madness. The final policy grabs him an instant golden age... -Issue is he's already in one. Now, I don't know if they stack or not, but I do get the logic of holding that off one turn to get the absolute most out of it.
@@jamesgriffith5582 they tend to stack or at least renew it i believe , so if he had it for 15 turns it would go back to 15 turns and having the full policy tree's effects would be more beneficial then focusing on a new tree , heck the culture tree that is fully done would get him more culture to get the next policy quicker.
They did a Give great works at one point where one pf them didn't want to lose their great works when the city was falling to an ally to then give back but I don't think they swapped any at any point
Kirsty, Sophie, and Duncan are all surprisingly close to each other. Same with Potato, Rythian, and Lewis. Daltos, as expected, is in a league of his own.
@8:18 Yes Rythian, I understand. My last name is pronounced "Klim" (spelled different) so the last two years I've had to listen to the Yogs make c*m jokes with my last name ☺ (which is hilarious don't get me wrong, just very unexpected since it's *not* a common name afaik)
Compared to civ 5? No not even close. This game is so much more simple to play, but it has tonnes of depth. While civ 7 looks to be very bloated with lots of different choices and decisions, that will eventually lead to the same outcomes and have little to no effect.
The telephone is a bit of a weird one because Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland, came up with the idea in Canada, and built it in the US; so is it a Scottish, Canadian, or American invention?
Is the Yogs lore written down somewhere? If not, you should do it, like detailed with names. I'm sure people who are not there with you, would like that.
Duncan at 18:52 not finishing Aesthetics tree when you literally get a free social policy for doing so. Classic Yogscast, never change.
Rythian knew what he was doing putting that in
Me watching it: Duncan No you Idiot NOOOO Duncan don't do it awww you idjit!
Came here to see if anyone commented this 😂

"did you hear that steve jobs died of ligma?"
"Who the hell is Steve Jobs?"
"Ligma balls"
Has there ever been a Yogs civ game where the "swap great works" function was actually used? cant remember them ever discussing it

Based Rythian, glad to see how far he's come. Although, I must believe in the Final Potato Victory
8:11 - "It sucks when the internet changes a word you really like into something else."
Ya don't say. 😐
Sad fist-bump.
Pouring one out for you, mate

If you told me a year ago that Daltos would be this good at Civ I'd have called you crazy. It's the best glowup in Yogs history
The Internet is for insane people. In reality Hawaiian pizza is consistently one of the most ordered pizzas.
glad to hear the yogscast reckoning with the changing of certain terms that affect dozens of us.

"I'm gooning" - Lewis Brindley, 2025.
Potato and Daltos with ideologies compared to the others literally struggling. 100% that they will war at some point.
I mean Canada did build the first mach 2 jet and the space arm
Yogs always gooning
Gooning since 2008!
Ye Old GoonerS.
Daltos... Tim Hortons... clever...
I was dying XD
ligma joke in 2025 goes hard
10 more days to Civ VII
I hope the new civ is simple, so that the guys enjoy playing it.

Theming isn't hard, it's just super tedious. So I respect people eschewing it.
techs from canada - penecillin , the telephone…
The telephone is a bit of a weird one because Alexander Graham Bell was born in Scotland, came up with the idea in Canada, and built it in the US; so is it a Scottish, Canadian, or American invention?
Didn't Bell steal the invention from the Italian Meucci?
Ive watched yogscast since I was like 10 and only just found out Yogs stands for Ye Olde Goon Squad
Epic!
Whole lotta solo pumpers round here.
Ye Olde Goon Squad ?!
Definitely heard Kaisen and not Carson at the end there.
AHHHHHH

Val-doomed
Daltos winning?
