Finally with some dry and sunny weather at the start of spring in the Netherlands field work can commence in earnest. A lot of grass fields still need to be fertilised before the first cut of silage will start in 4 to 6 weeks. We meet up with Dutch contractor Wieringa Espel who are running this clean and new outfit. Behind their Claas Axion 830 is a brand new Kaweco Profi II.18 tandem axle slurry tank and Kaweco disc injector. The tank has a sliding front axle to spread its weight evenly across the soil.
