    I use a Active sub with mine, I use a Mackie Thump SR18 1000 watt active sub. It will give more dimension. Plus, I won't need to push your active speakers hard! But depending on the size of the venues you use the speakers at, will depend on how much bass you will gain from them.

    Ok, So I've now pole mounted these speakers on stands.... They give extra height, and really fill the room with sound. Best used with a sub.

    You may find two outputs (for the amp) on your mixer... You can plug into either one, as long as it fits!

    Can certainly say its worth getting a sub! I'll be honest I'm glad I got the active sub, because it means less messing about with extra amps.... But having a sub will give your music a 'tighter feel' a sub will sound different in all venues... Certainly worth having.

    These are great speakers, I use them for outdoor shows and sound even better! But now I need to replace 1 of the crossovers.

    It was playing on a very low volume..., so you couldn't hear the bass.... If it was very loud it would have clipped the video. These would've fine with the inuke 6000. I.personally run these with a kam 2000 amp

    Yeah you will do... Run it from your mixer... Mixer - Amp - speakers...... Mixer to laptop.

    Yeah they can be used for smaller clubs and venues.... Use a good powerful amp, I'd say nothing less than 2000 watts. They will only sound bad if the source is bad!

    Just use jack to jack cables.... To speakon (Neutrik) connectors in the back of the amp. I just use Guitar cables to be fair to the amp. I run a 2000 watt kam amp to power the peaveys... Been using the speakers for a couple months, and for the cost there a great set off full range speakers.

    Just to Re cap.... You have plugged from your 'Master out' from your mixer to your amp.... And then picked a channel to plug your laptop into...

    When playing background music... Eg not need the music up too loud, I turn both channels The same on the amp to about 80% Then turn up your amp on full (both channels) when your ready to get then up dancing!!

    Sorry if this will all sound complicating!! And this is only my opinion!
    Your amp probably flashed for two reasons: 1) not powerful enough...
    2) you were pushing it to hard! Personally I'll go with option one... Mixed in with option two!
    I'll be honest I'm not a big fan of Behringer amps... I have a Behringer Europower EP2500 Watt... 2X1200 watts. I use this as a spare only... It has dip switches at the back which I'm experimenting with still lol. The difference between this amp and my Kam

    I was thinking about getting these as an upgrade from my Mackie Thump 12s. I do DJ-ing but also love sound for decent sized venues and outdoors. My plan was the two PV215's with an 18inch sub (one for now). Would these be good for this application or would you suggest something different? Was also thinking about the PV DM115's instead or should I go with the 215's?

      djflash 182 - put a sub(or 2) with these.... And you'll have plenty of power for what you need 👌👍

    i see a berhinger Inuke, is it the 6000? and does it get loud with those PV215? i am hinking on that exact configuration but i don´t know if the PV215´s are too big for the INUKE6000?

      Lol no the inuke6000 would kill those speakers the inuke3000 works great with those speakers way more than enough power

    Ok... Either one of the inputs on the speaker is fine to use.... The output from your amp is probably going to be a speakon connection.... So I use a speakon to Jack adaptor. So I can then just use a jack to jack cable to use between the amp and the speakers. You'll like the sound of the speakers tho :) Good all round sound. Hope this Helps!!! What model amp are you using?

  • @Chrissyboy311
    @Chrissyboy311  12 років тому

    Just two simple Guitar cables will do - plug them in and away you go!

  • @Chrissyboy311
    @Chrissyboy311  12 років тому

    I presume you used your mixer too... ?
    I'm just wondering if your laptop headphone socket isn't designed to be used as a line out maybe... I'm not sure... I'll keep on thinking!

  • @Chrissyboy311
    @Chrissyboy311  12 років тому

    Let me know the model number of your amp and mixer... Then I can google it!!! ( can see pics then) what gig have you got coming up? It won't work from the mic input from your laptop.
