    This one a very brilliant movie! One of the best movies I've ever seen in my entire life.
    The fact that it involves children makes it more chilling.
    It's too bad that not many enough people know about this movie, because this is EPIC!
    My favourite movie line ever : "This is my revenge... A living hell"

      Saw it last night. Cool. I've seen worst but not asian. If you want something sexual, fucked up and kind of bizarre too watch "Bad Biology". And if you want a fucked up movie in a brutal/gore way watch "Martyrs". Those two will be a real test of your tolerance.

    • @captainobvious90
      @captainobvious90 8 років тому +5

      +kikiZGS its not gore, sexual, disguting or anything like that. But the way they mess with your mind makes you uneasy in some way

    • @SobrietyandSolace
      @SobrietyandSolace 8 років тому +1

      It's not that bad. And like with Elfen Lied, I watched it seeing PAST all the gore to pay attention to the true story- the psychology, the commentary on human nature/personal philosophy and motivation of individuals etc. It was the cinematography and non-linear narrative that examined the same events from different perspectives and on different levels that did it for me. You don't watch this movie to test how much fucked-upness you can take unless all of that flies totally over your head and you haven't seen much of the world.

    I just watched this movie today and all I could say is it's really fantastic. The story is so dark and shocking but filmed in a very elegant and poetic way. Really like the slow motion effect and beautiful graphics. Soundtrack is equally powerful. I almost breakdown and burst into tears in the cinema, but luckily I controlled my emotion.

    seriously, this is one of the greatest movie s I've seen. its editing style is brilliantly abstract and co-insides with the cinematography perfectly. the colouring of this movie is the most fitting iv'e ever seen. and the themes touched on in this paired with the powerful imagery make this deo a modern classic. Tetsuya Nakajima is a genius an inspiration. this is why japanese cinema is amazing

    When I saw that some of my favorite Boris songs like My Machine, Farewell and Rainbow as well as The xx's Fantasy were featured in this I just had to give it a watch. I surely didn't get disappointed. The songs really give some scenes the right touch, especially My Machine in the beginning. Incredible movie as a whole that made me check out asian cinema more in general and while I have found some other amazing movies like Mother and Oldboy, this still remains my absolute favorite so far. A serious 10/10 imo.

    I wondered what was going through Tetsuya Nakajima's mind when he made this movie? Everyone in the movie is so depraved in a strangely captivating way. All I can say is I'm sure as hell glad my school wasn't like that.
    (SPOILER) It's kind of ironic that the "Lunacy Girl" turned out to be the most sane one of them all, isn't it.

    EXCELLENT!! Despite having the most epic storylines, Japanese movies tend to lose me with the camp, the camera work, and some other indefinable things that i don't even know how to articulate, lol, plus the culture-shock is still strong, and yet this one #Confessions #Kokuhaku had me riveted, especially for the last half! So many twists & turns that just kept pounding the viewer relentlessly! So many FEELS! I could just imagine how RIVETING/MOVING the book must be! Sighzzzzz, it's beyond tragic that parents are oftentimes the biggest catalysts to society's monsters :'( If only people could take parenting as seriously as they take their cars or rose gardens! Sighzzzzz #IfOnly #SMFH #Tragic #Sad #TheHumanCondition #MyHeartWeeps #PoorKids #MonstersAreVictimsToo #TheTruthThatNoOneEverWantsToHear #OurWorldNeedsHealingNotMorePunishment

    Im sad that many people might quit at the first 30 minutes.But that literally wraps up the whole story,the introduction.You really need to focus since everything is well connected.A quote from far beggining gets to be repeated at the end,(by a different speaker)That kinda thing.I love how the movie sets up the atmosphere.The aftermath *after the 30 minutes intro* just gave me chills.

    Werther was a victim of deception..Mizuki , of her own heart..Naoki, of ruined self-esteem and conscience..Moriguchi,of unnecessary pain & bitterness...and Watanabe shuya, victim of emptiness &his own emotion..a WAKE UP CALL for proper parenting and awareness of what is happening to what is supposedly the "Next Generation"..

    i don't agree. try watching the ending again. :)
    i think she was teasing shuya when she said "just messing with you" part, like what shuya did when he claimed that he was the killer..

    I agree with you. *SPOILERS* She gives him two lessons, because the first is inadequate. She is not a killer. That is the very lesson she wants to give him. If she turned into a murderer, murdering his mother, for revenge, then the whole thing would be quite pointless. She lets him believe she has taken her revenge all the way to wanton bloodlust, but she hasn't.

    I really want to see this but there doesn't seem to be a cinema in Edinburgh showing it!! Any ideas anyone?

    Knowing what a movie is about is different from actually watching it. You can predict almost all of the movies' plots just by looking at it's genre and synopsis. Though the embedded themes and meanings would be lost if that's all you care about.

    this is one of the best movies I've ever seen, so disturbing and twisted history works fine for me, plus the soundtrack with thom yorke and the xx

    I watched it when it just came out, when I was a teenager myself, and I just rewatched it. Tbh, it's still an amazing movie and I would suggest everyone to watch it!

    I watched the film last night at the early screening on filmsi.co.cc. The best way I can describe the movie is "fun". It is directed more for adults, but doesn't go so dark to exclude children. It has humor, but doesn't make the character a clown.
