You know what? Living in Spain in the 80s and 90s we had way too little exposure to French pop compared to lets say Italian. Only when I grew older I began to know all the great pieces of french pop, Etienne Daho for example, among many many others….

So many songs of the so called New German Wave. They were huge here. And they still sound gr8, esp. Trio, DÖF, Hubert Kah & Joachim Witt. And i fell in Amore with Romina Power, when i was still a kid back then 🥰...and not to 4get about the songs. Also Ornella Muti was fantastic besides Adriano Celentano, too.😊. Nice, that Austria is represented by Der Kommissar by Falco and Codo by Tauchen/Prokopetz (about half a year later they changed their name to DÖF). Any video like this which doesn't include the brilliant genius Tomas Ledin does not get my vote.
Quite a few, of these songs, have been transformed into English version hits and / or have been sampled.
I'm Irish and when I here Begin The Beguine by Julio Iglesias I think I'm on a beach in Spain in the early 80s.
Miguel Bosé, the best artist from Spain
4:47 Nino De Angelo - Jenseits. I've a feeling there was an English version of that song.
Yes! I love his versions in Italian too! What a voice!! And great production too.

Buena respuesta...🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wait, 100 songs from only 3 years? :o
Cool
Everyone was having a good time in the 80s.
1/2の神話 was #1 for weeks in 1983 Japan.
You should do one for the 60s and the 70s forgen to 😺
I think theres a singer near start Rose Lauren. Her song here i think she rerecorded in English as a song called Africa.
It has to be in Europe because I did not know many of the songs presented, I heard most of the Spanish, Italian, and some Germans sons the others I did not, but it is nice to listen to those songs too.
Tiene que ser de Europa porque la mayoría de las canciones que aparecen nunca las había oído, las que más reconocí fueron las canciones en Español, Italiano y Alemán, las otras no las había escuchado, pero fue bueno oírlas.
I mean the best hits over times. Some Never heard before. UA-cam lets long life forever!
