The Trick to launching these cars was Bias Ply tires that would Bite and Dump the Clutch at 5000 RPM and you would Disappear in a Cloud of Smoke and would do rolling burnouts into second gear , I remember looking at the Speedometer that said 110 MPH but I was only going about 50 MPH with tires spinning and smoke pouring into the car !
My dad bought a 67 back in 1970. I have it now. He bought it with the extra taillights. He said some of the dealers installed them back then. Upstate NY. Don't know which dealer it came from.
