Michael Cohan’s congressional testimony during T’s 1st impeachment was honest & humble and I clearly believed he turned the page away from Trump and with his family’s support, his prison time (which he’s helping other felons with proposed new litigation/laws) and this experience itself. At the very least, he's got to be able to withhold the truth in a way that doesn't prove the lie. DT loved the idea, went with it, and started spreading the lies. And many more after DT saw how effective it was, and continues to be. Thus, the name of his podcast, “Mea Culpa” - Latin phrase that means “through my fault” and is an acknowledgement of having done wrong. What turned Cohen around was him coming close to losing his family. They wanted him to quit working with DT long before he was busted.

"It's not a _lie_ but maybe it's not terribly honest either." No, it's a lie. You are willfully ignorant of the truth and continue perpetuating a narrative because your boss is the POTUS, and that's maybe more forgivable than being the source of the deception, but it's still a lie.
Cohen was trying to deflect that (probably out of reflex), but he didn't believe in what he was selling back then, just parroting someone else's BS. But he knew it wasn't true, and when pressed here, he owned up to it. Someone in his role has to be willing to not get too hung up over honesty. It comes with the territory. At the very least, he's got to be able to withhold the truth in a way that doesn't prove the lie. But at this point, if you've got a soul left in there somewhere, you gotta be able to call a spade, a spade.

Because it wasn't until he got in trouble in his personal life that had nothing to do with Trump where he got indicted and convicted for cheating on his taxes. Then all of a sudden because he was looking at prison time and ended up getting three and a half years I think then he wanted to be everybody sweetheart and throw Trump under the bus only after he became a felon and thought that he had something that the government could use against Trump pertaining to the Russian investigation. And he wanted to hopefully not do any jail time because of that. But the information now he gave ended up being will do nothing of importance and his true side came out where he made millions of dollars being Trump's lawyer and he's living in this Manhattan penthouse then he thought he was a superstar by being the lawyer of the next president of the United States and he was on TV everyday defending Trump like you should because he was retained by Trump. And then because everybody hates Trump drugs because he's somebody who was basically born with a silver spoon in his mouth although so was his other brothers but didn't really make too much of their lives so you got to give Trump some respect in that regards, but the government wanted to get Trump out of office before he even took office so they investigated the s*** out of them no matter how big or how small I'm surprised that they didn't investigate the pack of gum that he stole when he was 9 years old and then Cohen being that close to Trump started to get looked at and the government wanted to press him to get to Trump but there just wasn't any day or there and then they found out that Cohen cheated on his taxes and it had nothing to do with Trump so even when he did the right thing as you say there was no information that was any value against Trump to get him out of the situation that Cohen was in and that is a rat and that is a lowlife piece of s*** attorney who because of covid is doing the three years and years Manhattan penthouse under house arrest. And now he's on TV all the time and he's your sweetheart and everybody's proud of them because everybody makes mistakes blah blah blah. It's hard for me to forget everything Cohen was complicit in, but everyone deserves redemption, and he has been making an incredible case at it.

I personally didn’t care for Cohen when he worked for 45 but seeing him being brutally honest and accounting for his own actions, it’s unimaginable how far he has come. I hope some person in power recognizes it and forgives the faults he did, he doesn’t seem half bad.

I didn’t like him either, but I do have to give him credit for pleading guilty to save this elderly father-in-law from going to jail. Trump would never in a million years go to jail for a relative. Cohen can’t change the past, but he does seem to want to live a more truthful future.
