Historically, the Yoruba were primarily farmers, growing cocoa and other cash crops. Before the discovery of Oil, we sustained our regional economy with the proceeds of Agriculture. We built railways without foreign loans, provided free and quality education, and established the 1st television station in Africa.

Ah! Akin, I was right when I said you reminded me of my grandfather. This was how he used to call me and give me life lessons when I could barely understand anything. And he was the one who translated this song for me as a kid. You are a rare gem in this new generation.
