I honestly have to say this was one of the best videos explaining something!! I just bought my laser and I got the 40w also! I’m so loving this little thing!! Keep up the good work! Thanks again.
Hey Tony. Watched a video you did on the first carve the the silverback. Can you or have you made a video showing us what you can do with the bits that were included? I love your videos. You talk so easy, pleasant and not too fast making it easy to follow along. Thanks
Hi, I have not yet. I’m planning on doing a video of a sign the next few days but that will be with VBits and endmills. Which bits did you get with yours?
Hi, Tony. When I hit start the cup rotates great on the first pass stopping at my marks but then it stops in different places after that. Should it do that? Great video though!!!!!
Hi Tony, How does one slow the speed of the TLC rotary? The reason I am asking is because I want to engrave on an RTIC travel tumbler and I am doing 2 passes, but at different speeds. When I tried to do this on a test tumbler, set the laser module to its origin and started the second pass (with higher speed), the rotary spun so quickly the tumbler spun a little bit and the higher speed (2nd pass) was offset so I had a double burn. Just curious if that can be done? Thanks Jim
Hi Jim, That is a good question. Ive not tried with different speeds but i would assume that if you increase the speed in your layer settings would determine the speed of the rotary motor as well. Ive never had much luck with a second pass on the rotaries as you almost always get a shadow effect or a double burn. I would recommend using a chuck style rotary for anything with a second pass. It prevents any irregular movement with multiple passes. I have used the following "4th axis" for multiple things and will be doing a video of it with a tumbler in the next few weeks. yorahome.com/products/4th-axis-rotary-module.
I thought the little arm tensioned by the rubber bands was to go inside the glass to hold it tight against the driving wheel. You have it on the outside (on top) of the glass . Will both ways work OK? Thanks
I did not know how to contact you so I'm hoping you will see this. Do you know if the xTool RD2 Pro rotary will work on my YoraHome 6550-PRO?? I don't remember where but I heard you changed wires around to make it work or using a different wire harness???
Hi, The XTool Rotary should work with the 6550 no problem. If it doesn't out of the box you may need to swap the two center wires on the rotary cable. There is a 6550 Troubleshooting video in the YH Facebook group that shows you how to do that. Thanks
in your Rotoary Setup within LightBurn, it is showing "inches" being input. My screen on my dedicated laptop for the 6550 show "mm". I just started my free 30 day trial and trying to setup my TLC rotary attachment. Where do I (if needed) change it from "mm to in"?
Yes, some tumblers like the Yeti cups have a thicker coating which may require either more power or slower speeds to get the best results. Then you have some of the cheap cups that have a very thin layer of coating that you can burn through very easy. Testing each type of cup your going to burn is key.

Tony, thank you for taking the time to make this much needed video for us!

Where can I find the Jigger for the tumbler. I couldn't find it on Yorahome website.
Same question here!! I really could use one of those and I don't have a 3D printer.

Can you help me every time my laser comes back to the top it overlaps the original line

You can do either. I actually think it was ment to be inside the glass like you said but either way as long as it holds it tight.

Hi, you navigate to the menu “edit/settings” then in the middle of the settings screen you can select “inches / min”.
Hi Tony, I would like to ask if is true that I need to change speed depends on colors because some tumbler need more speed or power?
