I just picked one up for my Roland TD 17 KVX. It is great!! I was using a keyboard amp before. Couldn’t hit the kick to hard or the amp would pop and crackle. The guys in my band would ask me to turn up but I couldn’t. The new amp can handle the bass with no problem even hitting it hard and I have plenty of head room on the volume. The cymbals are very clean and crisp. They seemed to be a little muddy on the keyboard amp. My band loves the new sound! You should definitely go check it out.
Kevin- I’m thinking of buying the TD KVX also. And I also want to buy this drum amp also. Do you use headphones at all? If so, do you connect them directly to the drum module?
@@kwansudude4919 I only use the one amp. I had a 650W amp before and it kind of worked. Depends on the room you are playing in and what kind of other instruments your band has. Honestly I would say no. I have been playing edrums since the TD3. The pads and cymbals on that kit are subpar. You need to get a vh10 or 11 at least to have good feel. My advice is to buy it piece by piece. The 17 is a very good module you can get for 500 used. You then have $ left to build around it with better pads. You may be in at 12-1300 when all is said and done but you will have a far superior product and playing experience.
