How to: Set a Custom Resolution in Windows 7

- Do you feel like your screen resolution is too low for what your monitor can handle? Maybe the max resolution Windows gives you doesn't match that of your display. Well here is a small tutorial on how you can show all screen resolutions including the one that fits your monitor best.
Here I was running Windows 7 in Parallels and my display supported for a much higher resolution than the Operating system would give me. Here's how I changed it.
Results may vary based on many contributing factors.

is custome resolution from nvidai
its a 520mb file download
That means that your pc can't run it at all and if it's a laptop then that's probably why

Ok so I found the solution
In advanced settings go to adapter > then list all modes and there you choose the resolution.

Try to check for updates. Usually there's an update for the graphics driver that fixes the problem.
How to add 1600×900 in it

Ed Himmel make sure your monitor's drivers are installed. I know it sounds weird but that fixed the problem with my computer

Everything Tech i can't click on the box in the left side of hide modes that monitor cannot display. (did i'm say correct and sorry for my bad english i'm live in cambodia and i'm 12year old so my english is not really good )
If the box is unchecked, which is what happened the last time I looked for that feature then you should be able to view all the supported resolutions with your current drivers. If your resolution is not present then it is recommended that the computers drivers are updated. To check for the latest updates system wide go to Start>.Control Panel>System and Security> Windows Update, check for updates and install them, try again. If the lists of resolutions doesnt change, check your connection, sometimes being connected through VGA to an HD monitor will only reproduce limited results, try HDMI or DVI, the cables run cheap and are easy to find. Its like running a blu ray player to an HD TV through component cables, the cables can't put out too much resolution. If the problems persist you may want to look in to a new monitor, you can't find them cheap on Amazon.

Great video on how to change teh resolution but I had to give a "Thumbs Down" for teh music,, it is not that the music was "bad music", it is that NO TUTORIAL VIDEO SHOULD EVER HAVE MUSIC IN IT. do you put on music while reading a book?,
When people are trying to follow an instructional video, having music played in the background only serves to distract. YES you can mute the video, but why should anyone have to mute a tutorial video?!!?, just leave out the music, it is not needed and only serves to distract.
