This is exactly what I was looking for!! I kept finding videos about downloading and paying for premade mock-ups. I wanted to understand how to make my own with any image and actually have the image look like it’s blended with the natural lighting, other tuts were basically drag and drop. It’s so apparent when you just slap your art onto something because the lighting and colors in the original image don’t match.
I understand masking, clipping, blending modes and smart objects, but I would have never thought to break down the shadows and lights this way or to use 50 percent gray. Thank you again!!

I've been looking for a way to create bedding mockups where a pattern is warped to follow the contours of the quilt, pillows etc. This excellent video takes me halfway there. Now I just need to work out how to create a warp on the smart object. Thank you Unmesh.

Any other tutorial about making your own mock-up is basically to buy a premade one or just drag and drop it… I’ve been looking for something like this for a while because I couldn’t figure out how to make the lighting and colors naturally blend with the art I want to display!
