      Groomed Priscilla? You should read ,,Child Bride,, and will see the real things about that.Elvis never wanted to get married,and her parents,her mother and step father,threatened him to marry her.She had plenty of boyfriends in Germany and had sex with person called Curry Grant who was stationed in Germany ,so she could meet Elvis in return.

    As someone who has started to get invested into Elvis life after watching the movie I keep learning more and more about how horrible people were when it came to Elvis. But I do think the fault does land on Parker cause if it wasn’t for Parker getting the doctor to prescribe those pills to Elvis then he would have never gotten addicted

    • @asunarave2381
      @asunarave2381 2 роки тому +1

      I agree Parker was a scum bag who only cared about making money and keeping Elvis as a prisoner just to clear his gambling debts and when Elvis wanted out his manager took all of his money that's not okay. Also he didn't care about Elvis well being either that's sad. I feel the drugs and meds weren't necessary at all knowing it was killing him. I do agree that it was parker fault for having Dr Nick putting Elvis on pills which weren't helping in the first place and i mean feel bad for how Elvis had to put up with Parker until he had enough and fired him knowing about parker background. As for Dr Nick don't think he was prescribing Elvis healthy at all. Also his mother tried to warn Elvis to not trust Parker period knowing he was gonna screw him over in the end.

Especially after I had my gallbladder and all that taken out when I was 17, that exploded and was casuing diabetes and pancreatitis, but they went away after the surgery thankfully. Worst I really deal with nowadays is the occasional kidney problem, especially infections. I'm from here (Memphis) and my aunt knew elvis because of Dr. Nick and there's ALOT that Noone knows and because of legal reason people can't speak on until the autopsy is public, but everyone will be SHOCKED! Also Ginger didn't call the police, she called Joe and He told Billy to call them. As far as dr.nick he was in so much debt that elvis could have asked for ANYTHING and he would have wrote them for elvis! Elvis was his cash cow. Linda threatened to expose Dr. Nick but elvis made her feel like he'd stop if she didn't. Ginger on the other hand is not, NOT a good person AT ALL! I can't and won't say what but she should be in trouble herself! She says she didnt write the book until her kid went to college....but thats absolutely not why she waited! Anyways everyone except Linda, that was around elvis WERE YES MEN AND FAILED HIM! And Dr. Francisco, he is still alive btw, he also did Dr. Kings autopsy as well. Unfortunately our Medical examiner's have a history of being shady and able to be bought. Look up O.C. Smith

    Wow... This one was an interesting subject. I've never really gotten myself that much into Elvis until I saw the recent biopic come out. But his own physical health aside, not only is the doctor to blame, but his manager as well. His manager basically worked him like a horse and allowed him to get pumped up with drugs, whether he was able to go onto the stage or not.
    I definitely see a lot similarities with Elvis' death and Michael Jackson's death. They were both under the supervision of "doctors" that prescribed them with lethal amounts of drugs, overworked and taken advantage of by their own management team, they both ended up dying young. It's just sad that often times, celebrities can't even trust the people within their inner circle.

    Pain killer or really any medication overdoses hit way too close to home for me. I lost my grandmother, who actually was a huge Elvis fan, to an overdose when I was young. I lost my aunt last year to an overdose as well. Both were from different medications. It’s awful, and my heart goes out to anyone who has experienced a loss like this, was once battling the addiction, and/or is dealing with something similar 💚💜

    I've lived in Memphis all my life. When I was a teenager, I was visiting a neighbor who was locked up at the county correctional center. Locked up with him was one of the men who stole Elvis' body. From what he told me (because of course I had to ask him questions), they did get the coffin and nearly dropped it. They got pulled over either right inside or outside the cemetery and arrested. He said that they were paid to steal it. Now he could have been just making up stories. But the cemetery he was originally buried at (where his mom was buried) is an older cemetery where I have lots of relatives. Please do a segment on it! I never ran into Elvis or met him but I did use to run into Jerry Lee Lewis at a dive bar named the Underground back in the late 70s.

    You know, the Johnny Depp trial was eye opening to me…and kind of reminds me of Elvis’s death.
    These famous people get their own personal doctors. If you’re having a bad day, here Johnny, take this. Is Amber being a psycho? Oh, let’s dose her with some Seraquil. We will calm her down.
    Elvis couldn’t sleep, so he calls down for his doctor to give him drugs, and he has those drugs delivered to him after 5 minutes.
    Why do celebrities get their own personal doctor that will prescribe different cocktails of drugs, but the rest of us have to just lay in bed and toss and turn or take an aspirin if we’re hurting and hope we can get an appointment at our doctors quickly.

Like I may understand in general if he wasn't making the doses so high the reasoning of "I don't want him to get it through street drugs"
      1. Because street drugs can be laced with things and 2. If street drugs KILLED the person, they'd also go after whoever got them addicted which sadly more often than not are doctors trying to help, I get this doctor in particular isn't great so I would understand blaming this doctor lol

    I’m not saying Elvis was a complete saint but I feel that he was taken advantage of by a lot of people because they knew as long as Elvis worked, they would continue to get paid. His life was sad and I think had his mother still been alive, his life would of been very different for the better. @@heartslove8449 you are absolutely correct, that's part of why we will never get a solid answer on what happened. The symptoms and use of lots of drugs can present the same way and make it impossible to know what is what. He also may have been self medicating before he was prescribed and already had an addiction. My father self medicated for so long...oddly enough he had less issues with the epilepsy when he was taking mushrooms, acid and mescaline.....we now know that those meds can help with many conditions. This comment section is pretty respectful, I've seen some be absolutely toxic or dead set on diagnosing him just from what little info we know.

    This is kind of a tangent, but I wish that discussions of constipation weren’t seen as gross to talk about. A loved one of mine has IBS, and has suffered a lot of pain from it. Being blocked up like that hurts. It can cause pain in the stomach, back, and pelvis. It can result in spinal damage as well as rectum damage. It also can heighten anxiety and create feelings similar to a heart attack and panic attack. I’ve had friends who went to the hospital sure they were dying only to be told it was constipation. Treatment of it with laxatives is hell for a lot of people. Laxatives, even gentle ones, can render a person immobile for hours- being confined to the bathroom or lying in bed with extreme cramping.
    Clearly, Elvis was abusing drugs. But I don’t doubt that he was being at least partially honest about being in pain, and I don’t doubt that he wanted pain killers to help with it. Yeah, there are better options than drugs and hamburgers. But being constipated for four whole months? I’d lose my mind.
