UAW Local 5285 members who work at Freightliner are gearing up for a potential strike if Daimler Trucks doesn't come to the table with a record contract by the April 26 deadline.
I wish the UAW cared as much for the non-big 3 Members as they do the Big 3 Members. The UAW is letting Dana close a plant in St.Clair Michigan and they are sending the jobs to Mexico. The severance they get is either: Transfer to another Dana plant and receive a $500 bonus. But you have to start all your seniority over. OR

those automaking companies that are union should have to pay union dues to the UAW for EACH robot they put in..they are replacing union jobs with robots so they should have to pay a penalty to the union for each one, then the money goes to the other union members.also robot workers that work on the robots should have to be UAW also, those are union jobs as well because the robots are replacing UAW jobs.
Local Union 710. We work for Claycomo Ford F 150 and Wentzville MO G.M. We ain't got nothing. A 5 point absentee system. 10 day's vacation. 5 they keep from Us for Ford Shutdown and 3 Sick day's. I'm a Feed Tech Specialist. We work at Forvia/Faurecia. No pension either. WE NEED BIG DOG HELP. READY TO STAND UP. Starting pay is $17 hr. Lol.
I'm part of the UAW and if you're in the South I feel bad for you because this leadership in this Union just look at what they did to us now we're paying extra and we lost stuff everybody wanted Cola back and we lost our two other bonuses that was a joke
Same with us it’s worse now than before the strike we lost 2 bonuses and we now every Saturday till who knows when and didn’t get back the hours we lost during the strike but we have to make up the lost units …make it make sense 😢
