Broiling it just helps the top of the cheesecake brown/"burn" more. It depends on your oven. If your oven runs hot and the cheesecake browns enough during the bake, you can omit that step.
Hi any tips on how to avoid the mixing of the batter? I tried making one and the plain batter mixed into the tea batter 😅 ended up having a swirl design instead of layered
Did you place the tea batter down first? I found that the tea batters are a little bit heavier than the plain one, so in terms of density, those will sink to the bottom.
OMG, I LOVE cheesecake! I could watch this stand mixer wipe the batter allllll day long.
Thank you Nadalie! It is quite mesmerizing!
You made me so, so hungry after watching this! Definitely need to try this recipe out! The cheesecake looks delicious!! :)
Thank you so much! :)
This looks very interesting. I love matcha and I love cheesecake, but I've never had them together. Yum!
You'll have to try it -- it's a fantastic combination! :)
hi! this looks amazing. can i just ask why you have to broil it after you bake it? ☺️

How many grams should I put for matcha & hojicha for 6” and 8”? :)
4” recipe times 2 for a 6”
4” recipe times 4 for a 8”
