    I'm going outdoor crack climbing for the first time tomorrow, so I've been watching crack climbing technique videos. I really like the well rounded, practical advice given in the video. Most of the other videos I've watched don't talk about stuff like gloves, or slotting you hand in in wider sections of crack, or only putting a few limbs in the crack. I feel like this video will be most helpful when I actually climb!

    I'm somewhat new to crack climbing, I think I've done a 5.10b crack at the New. I did a 5.9 called little yosemite that wasn't too bad. I struggle with ring locks. Your description with the thumb and fingers was new to me, I'll have to try that. Thanks for the video I learned some things.

      Yeah, the technique with thumb down on one side and the fingers pushing it more down helps for real small cracks and then corners as shown in the video.
