Min. Lucius Beyah Muhammad, The Dean of Ministers of The Hon. Elijah Muhammad was invited to speak at Muhammad University of Islam in Chicago, IL. on October 12, 2008.
I cannot believe brother Lucius was 95 years old when giving this speech. He looks 25 years younger. Im so amazed that I started laughing in the middle of it. Apda.
I remember the day he gave this lecture, afterwards I left the mosque, walked about 12 blocks home and had dinner with my mom, and two other people. I was really pleased that day with this lecture and I still enjoy watching it.
I am so thankful for this MAN. I came into this Teaching in 1994 and was privileged to be personally taught by this MAN. I got my "X" because of this MAN. He would tell us of stories of his times with the Messenger. He said that he was four brothers away from shaking Master Fard Muhammad's hand before HIS security team came in and whisked him away. He would tell us after his sermon to ask him ANY question from the bible or Qur'an. If he didnt have the answer(which he always did) he would say: come back next Sunday and I'll have it by the Grace of Allah. At his 102nd birthday he was teaching and he loved to see the young children running around playing. I thank Allah for the time Min. Lucius was here with us.

Ishmael in yesterdays Sunday lecture dealt with the subject and definition of patience. Now from Min. Beyah I have another precious definition of patience to buttress and memorize: "Patience is the capacity of mind, necessary to undergo any hardship, necessary to accomplish your goal or purpose".. May Allah be be pleased with our legendary and great Brother. I had the privilege of talking with him several times, he was a very kind and gracious brother, who would readily submit to interviews, answer questions, etc. He gave wonderful recollections of the three years he lived with The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad...seeing the scholars, and Sheikhs from the Muslim world, coming to Chicago to visit The Honorable Elijah Muhammad-for the wise KNEW who this man was(and is). He shared details about the early days of Islam, about his interactions with those who had met and been named by Master Fard Muhammad. And very interestingly, in a conversation we had in 2007, he remarked about how he was closely watching the then Senator Barack Obama, how The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, around 60 years before 2007, had remarked about one day we would get a Black president, and the things that would would occur from that time. I encouraged him to write a book, and I am not sure if he had the opportunity to do so, but what he had to share would make a great book, perhaps two or three.
ASA Brother, I concur with your words concerning our great Bro. Lucius, he shared that same spirit with us here in Savannah, He has a great history with us here. You can see almost every message he gave to us here in Savannah on my channel. He did write one pamphlet type book called ''WHY I BELIEVE IN ISLAM''

ASA I'm not sure if the book is still in print or available. I bought a copy of it from the Respect for life bookstore that use to be in Savannah, Brother Minister Prince Muhammad was the owner, i'll check with him to see if he still have anymore of them. Unfortunately I don't have any of Min. Lucius videos when he was the Minister of Macon. Unfortunately when it comes to Bro. Lucius I find that they're not to many videos or audios of him except the ones I video taped of him back in the '90's.
