1. Lido Learning
Laid Off - 200 Employees
The creator of Lido Learning, Sahil Sheth, notified the staff that the company wouldn’t be able to pay their salary due to financial issues. In addition, some employees were even told to hunt for new employment.
2. Microsoft
Laid Off - 1800 Employees
Microsoft, however, added its name to the list of significant businesses laying off staff when the corporation disclosed that it would be doing so as part of a “realignment.” It’s also vital to remember that Microsoft is the first major tech company to fire workers. According to estimates dated July 13, 2022, the Microsoft layoffs will affect 1% of its 1,80,000-person staff across all of its offices and products.
Along with the announcement of Microsoft laying off, the news of the slowdown of Microsoft hiring in the Windows, Teams, and Office groups has also surfaced.
3. Netflix
Laid Off - 300 Employees
One of the reasons for Netflix’s slower income growth is that it has recently lost over 2 lakh customers and is reportedly losing more. In May, Netflix again laid off 300 employees reason for which was cost-cutting.

According to the story from July 7, 2022, the company, which employs more than 7000 people, would be letting go of about 100 workers.
5. BlueStacks
Laid Off - 60+ employees
The company has experienced tremendous growth thanks to the enormous demand for Android smartphones. 60 Indian employees of this well-known Android emulator platform have been let off, according to news from July 20, 2022. On July 18, 2022, BlueStacks used video conferences to warn the bulk of its staff that their services would no longer be required.

Laid Off - 600 Employees
This year, one of India’s largest EdTech companies startled everyone by deciding to fire 600 people or 10% of their staff. In April, it was a last-minute choice. According to the layoff justification, the workers’ performances weren’t up to par.
7. Vedantu
Laid Off - 624 Employees
Yes, another well-known Edtech company, Vedantu, has let many staff leave. They fired 424 full-time and contractual staff in only one month. Before that, 200 of its employees were let go this year. According to Vedantu, this is being done to extend their capital runway. Additionally, it is said that the closure of schools and the return of traditional classroom instruction are to blame for the layoffs at Edtech companies.
8. Cars24
Laid Off - 600 Employees
Over 600 workers from Cars24, or 6% of their workforce, bid goodbye to the company. The fired individuals included workers from various departments and positions. The corporation has just said that the layoff is based on employee performance without offering any other explanation. If staff are not giving their all, they are fired every year.

Meesho abruptly and unexpectedly sacked 150 workers from the company’s supermarket division in April

Better.com’s layoffs are likely the most contentious to date. The business has been under fire since firing over 900 employees over a single Zoom conversation last year. It's nothing much about the background check. The background check is just a name but the reality is cost cutting. Because of recession these companies don't have much project in hand. So this laying off is happening. If the background check is the actual reason then why don't they verify it on time . Generally the candidate get the appointment letter when he cleared the technical interview, hr round and background check. Thease MNCs are playing with the employee just to save their cost.

It’s good that they are at least checking this fake certificate issue. It’s happening vigorously in our country.
I don't under the concept of Moonlighting. Company can ask employee to work on two projects at a time in there own company but if the employee is working on one project of there company and one of another company they have issues with it.
Its like working for 2 companies at the same time....while working from home.

Background check? 🤣 It's the same with almost every MNC that reaches upto a certain point of profit, then lay offs. After that, it is what it is. Profit margin, the existence of businesses.

Bro .. if you have completed your engineering.. then do a CDAC course of 6 month ..you'll get good technical knowledge with placement in good company

yes they will provide. if it is cool talk with them.even if you worked for one month also they will give one month experience letter (one of my frnd joined in tcs within 1 month he caught there. hr said to keep resignation on same day after they provided experience letter)

Sometimes they will provide obsconded in experience it's based on luck.

It's good that unwanted,lazy and underperforming employees are fired! What is the use of keeping junk in their roles and pay them fat salaries ? Also ,allowing female workers1 year long pregnency leave is not good business practice as per some top management personnel in CTS ! For the first child it maybe justified!But for subsequent childbirth ,this 1 year long paid holiday goes a bit too far !

Will they provide experience letter to them who have laid off from their company?
They are not provide any experience certificate they will gave only salary per that month and releving letter only .
Hi Sir I have one issue,
I got selected in TCS and I worked in an irrelevant factory years ago for 2 months but now I don't have a relieving letter.. they created a UAN member I'd, but in my current company I have 2 years experience, but in TCS, they are asking me relieving letter what to, I can't get relieving letter now.
Write an proper email to bgv team, and ask them to verify only 2 years of IT exp. Even though if they ask reliving letter of past non IT company you need to submit no option for u.
