    This entire series has been amazing, I have gained an insane amount of skill!!! In the end I made 3 dolls and am still working on making them "shine"! I'm super excited for the scarfs coming up and every other felt along! I think these felt alongs are going to take mine and many others felting to the next level- nothing better than asking an expert and having it answered/shown right then and there! Thanks for the fun!!

    Marie, thank you so much for taking the time to show us how to felt a doll. I have not felted along, in time with your videos. I'd rather watch it all before jumping in lol. But I now have the body ready and starting on the head. I can't wait to see what he or she tells me they want to become :) I was in such a felting funk but your felt along has got my felting juices flowing again! Woohoooo! Thank you, again! xoxo

    This has been such an amazing adventure watching some wire and wool turn into such beautiful creations!! I've been watching along, but not felting along. For some reason I feel so intimidated to make a doll with an armature. I've wanted to learn how to do it, and now here it is right in front me. I am going to start one as soon as I get caught up on the projects I've started already. I can't thank you enough for this priceless gift you have give to us. I've learned so much by just watching. I know I'm going to learn so much more once I get started on making one for myself!! You have been such an inspiration to me (and many others), I'm so thankful that I found your site. And I'm so thankful for you and your wonderful fairies!! I can't wait to see what I'm going to learn next from you!! Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher and being willing to share your talent with us all!!! LOVE and HUGS!!!!

    Hello, I love all your videos and they are so helpful. I make small dolls 5 to 6 inches tall. I am wanting to start wet felting for their clothing ,but these clothes would be very small in your opinion do you think wet felting could work for me? I have never wet felted but I have dabbled in needle felting

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Julie, thank you for your kind note :) One thing is for certain...with wet felting clothing, you can create things incredibly unique, original and one of kind ... far beyond woven fabrics. With that said, you will have the most ease if they do not need to be removable. That is because you can make pieces that wrap and get attached to the doll but look removable. Also, you can layer for cool effects. You might start with a simple tunic (made flat) or a skirt.

    Instead of rolling can you use a tool that you just rub over the wool or mist you roll? Also after wet felting is the wool still fuzzy?

  • @moonbee03

    Marie, your tutorials are amazing! Thank you so much! I have a question. I need to make a long robe, with long sleeves for a doll that is approximately 10 inches tall. I truly don't want to go into wet felting. Is there any way I can make the cut out model for clothing by dry needle felting it? I know it would take quite a bit... but I don't mind that. Is there any other reason other than time for which I should not dry felt it? I appreciate any guidance you can give in this regard.

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your note :) I have felted a hooded cloak for a Santa, and the joins are tricky = better to sort of "fake" the clothing as removable as we show in the needle felting doll clothes video. You can also use prefelt to help make it a bit easier, and youc can needle felt onto the prefelt if desired.

    • @moonbee03
      @moonbee03 4 роки тому +1

      @@LivingFelt Thank you so much for your prompt answer! I just ordered some prefelt from you, and think I'll go down that road. So nervous with my first doll (only made a small bunny before) but I have such high hopes for it, my imagination is running wild! Thanks again!

    So how can you make clothes less thick? Without wholes for a more delicate look, and I make miniature dolls so the clothes will be very small like 4 inches or less.

      Hi Kristen! Thanks for watching and for the question. RESIST comes in two thicknesses...for the doll clothes, go with the THIN:

    also how many roles do you do for a typical project?

    • @LivingFelt
      @LivingFelt  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Julie...do you mean "rolls"? There is not a typical number, it is all about the strength of the felt. If you wish to make very thin pieces, use a silk gauze or magilan silk as a base layer, then you can put a small amount of fiber on top, and felting will be quick. You should felt until it will hold up to whatever handling your doll will get. You should not be able to pick the fibers apart once dry.
