Very entertaining movie, watched it yesterday. Audience went bonkers. So many whistles and applauses... mumbai and delhi shows are all housefull today, no idea about rest.

By far the best and only true review on UA-cam. Watched the movie yesterday, as an SRK fan it’ feels good that he’s back but bad screenplay, loosely connected story, Farhad samji style dialogues, pathetic VFX coupled with savlon bhai turned this whole experience into an epic piece of crap. As you rightly mentioned- John Abraham was amazing and of course SRK (minus those cringe dialogues)❤
No way you compared Farhad samji's dialogues to what is here! Here those are far more clever, classy and suitable for a comic book film. Farhad's are downright childish, bland and age old jokes that we all already know.
I'm huge fan of SRK, but honestly PATHAAN was average for me. I went to the film just to see SRK in action avatar. And he was fire in it, even John Abraham was terrific and stood out undoubtedly. Just that story was so illogical especially about the ISI brotherhood, Deepika Padukone character writing and plot breakers were something that effected the flow of film. Yes VFX were also an issue the green screen use is clearly seen throughout the film, but the combat sequences were too good. Yes I wouldn't watch this film second time in theatre. Baby is still the best SPY made film. It's a typical bollywoodish masala spy film.

I appreciate you for giving a honest review despite being a SRK Fan . I already knew that the story would be the same just like other Spy Action Thriller movies . I just wanted to see how they will execute it . Definitely , there are loopholes but apart from that I enjoyed the movie pretty much . About VFX , yes , some scenes were looking fake because of Poor VFX ( wish that Red chillies should have done the VFX ) . Overall I will give film 3.5/5 stars : 1 star - For the performance of the cast 1 star - Tight Story ( Found it more tight than War ) 1 star - Great Action sequences ( The train sequence and the Hand to hand combat stood out for me ) 0.5 stars - Bgm was good ( Compared to songs ) - 1 star : Poor VFX -0.5 : Lack of Originality That's my review regarding Pathaan

Truly the honest review and bingo to the point. I felt its was bad in storytelling, vfx and forced comedy, but it was so relieving to watch SRK back on big screen. A good one time watch.
I am not sure why you didn’t comment on the fact that there was no need to show the terrorist chief to be an ex-RAW official while the sidekick to be from ISI. Whatever the movie is and whoever be in that movie, why is there this trend of showing our own brave hearts in a bad light and after every single bad deed and thousands of lives if not hundreds of thousands, ISI to be shown as a force that keeps peace and good in the world. It feels sick to the core to see such an evil force to be shown in a good light again and again and again. It reeks of propaganda and malice now. Huge admirer of your reviews btw!

Best review so far for pathan, i agree salman’s cameo was nostalgic for many. But i felt cameo was not up to the mark, quoting points you mentioned in the video. Also you see movies like suryavanshi had too cameos and we label it as masala done right. Pathan fails at that end. Also if you have watched movie deepika fools srk initially to steal virus from the vault, wasn’t it too predictable? Also you dont expect your top spy to be fooled so easily. Story too had many flaws. I completely agree with shan, if it were somebody else’s movie it would have been trolled.

Review was good shan bhai but you missed the main highlight, "Bollywood ka Pakistan prem, ridiculously shown the Pakistani ISI fighting terrorism who is actually the mother of it. "
The best thing about Shan bhai is that he isn't a hypocrite, KGF 2 ki jitni trolling ki utni hi Fast And Furious 9 and Pathaan ki bhi ki. But what I noticed about some other critiques is that ki KGF 2 jaise mediocre film ko masterpiece bolke 5/5 de rahe thee, south and hollywood ki movies main koi logic ki baat nahi karte lekin jab Pathan ki baath ayi toh story aur logic ki baat kar rahe hain. see the thing is when they make a good realistic story most audience don't watch it until its on ott or later on. Series like special ops, family man don't get as much attention due no star in them although they got decent recognition due to covid time. There were few other good movies like Baby, Shabana, Romeo Akbar Walter etc but people don't like the ugliness and reality of spy verse unfortunately.
PATHAAN ko 4.5 aur 5 stars mile bhai from most of the critics same like KGF2. But both films are average masala films. Indians just need mass elements and star presence and they call it masterpiece.
KGF while over the top had originality. Pathan from what I've heard and YRF history is that it's a mixture of various Hollywood movies, specially action scenes. And the concept of Raktbeej, a virus is exactly the storyline of Mission Impossible 2 where the villain has a virus called "Chimera". If this is what the Best of Bollywood can make, it deserves a lot more trolling than other movies.
I was wandering since tomorrow to find out a perfect review of Pathan. Everyone was telling the good points of the movie and none of them talked about the weak points of the movie. And I am not the fan of SRK, so I would have gone to watch the movie only if the movie was really a masterpiece. As I only watch 2-3 movies in an year cos I'm a college student. Perfect Review. Theatre main maze bht aaye but we cannot ignore the glaring mistakes the movie had. Overall paisa vasool but the spy universe needs better director and more seriousness than bollywoodness.
Movie is not good at all. Storyline is so so weak. If this was not SRK's comeback after 4 years it would be trolled like anything. Some scenes are so illogical that it's shocking how can something like this be written.

Excellent review. As a millennial, I am a die-hard SRK fan; but the VGF shots were quite eyesore. We've been waiting for this movie for so long, I expected some of these to be done with more care and attention. But what a performance by King Khan! Seeing him on the big screen in action was fabulous.

Pathaan is exactly what we hindi fans were craving for. A well balanced fan service with full on Mass Masala action. Though it has some flaws like quite poor bad VFX, some Cheecky dialogues, Not so much impactful bgm. But it has so much to offer like A grand entry, excellent shots and perfectly choreographed Hand to Hand combat, Villain looking more powerful with his own Origin story, And a cameo took us back in time.

I was extremely disappointed after watching this movie. King Khan deserved better. Being a masala movie, I could ignore logical flaws and loop holes but the CGI was too bad. 100 crore more in CGI and this movie would have been worthy of being comeback of SRK.

SRK was the soul of the movie....his swag and action sequences were top notch along with Deepika's... Story was average and VFX was bad but better than how we saw in trailer But one thing i have to say about VFX team...they did not screw up like we see in most films...were hero is jumping from plane but his hair is still...his cloths are still and not at all moving...here in pathan they did a great job of making sure there was movements which suit the VFX arrangment...that has to be appreciated

In the end, shan bhai I guess is referring to Tried and Refused productions. The king of sugarcoated pro bollywood reviews. He plays with the words so well that he comes across as objective. His pathan review was absolutely vague and nothing compared to what our shan bhai does.
This film wouldn't have achieved the success it has without SRK. Also, John plays the charismatic villain post Dhoom with elan. The story is of course riddled with plot holes and Salman's entrance is absolutely silly. There's also Deepika manning the machine gun as the baddies wait without firing a single bullet so that they can get shot. It's just another stupid over the top action film with certain fight sequences that stand out.

Lekin I agree that the story was just bleh ... It really didn't feel like a spy movie at all ... If they could have done a good build up that would have created much better story line.... I am not sure why you didn’t comment on the fact that there was no need to show the terrorist chief to be an ex-RAW official while the sidekick to be from ISI.
Whatever the movie is and whoever be in that movie, why is there this trend of showing our own brave hearts in a bad light and after every single bad deed and thousands of lives if not hundreds of thousands, ISI to be shown as a force that keeps peace and good in the world.
It feels sick to the core to see such an evil force to be shown in a good light again and again and again. It reeks of propaganda and malice now.

Best review so far for pathan, i agree salman’s cameo was nostalgic for many. But i felt cameo was not up to the mark, quoting points you mentioned in the video. Also you see movies like suryavanshi had too cameos and we label it as masala done right. Pathan fails at that end. Also if you have watched movie deepika fools srk initially to steal virus from the vault, wasn’t it too predictable?
Also you dont expect your top spy to be fooled so easily. Story too had many flaws. I completely agree with shan, if it were somebody else’s movie it would have been trolled.

The best thing about Shan bhai is that he isn't a hypocrite, KGF 2 ki jitni trolling ki utni hi Fast And Furious 9 and Pathaan ki bhi ki. But what I noticed about some other critiques is that ki KGF 2 jaise mediocre film ko masterpiece bolke 5/5 de rahe thee, south and hollywood ki movies main koi logic ki baat nahi karte lekin jab Pathan ki baath ayi toh story aur logic ki baat kar rahe hain.

see the thing is when they make a good realistic story most audience don't watch it until its on ott or later on. Series like special ops, family man don't get as much attention due no star in them although they got decent recognition due to covid time. There were few other good movies like Baby, Shabana, Romeo Akbar Walter etc but people don't like the ugliness and reality of spy verse unfortunately.
PATHAAN ko 4.5 aur 5 stars mile bhai from most of the critics same like KGF2. But both films are average masala films. Indians just need mass elements and star presence and they call it masterpiece.
KGF while over the top had originality. Pathan from what I've heard and YRF history is that it's a mixture of various Hollywood movies, specially action scenes. And the concept of Raktbeej, a virus is exactly the storyline of Mission Impossible 2 where the villain has a virus called "Chimera".
If this is what the Best of Bollywood can make, it deserves a lot more trolling than other movies.

I was wandering since tomorrow to find out a perfect review of Pathan. Everyone was telling the good points of the movie and none of them talked about the weak points of the movie. And I am not the fan of SRK, so I would have gone to watch the movie only if the movie was really a masterpiece. As I only watch 2-3 movies in an year cos I'm a college student.

Excellent review. As a millennial, I am a die-hard SRK fan; but the VGF shots were quite eyesore. We've been waiting for this movie for so long, I expected some of these to be done with more care and attention. But what a performance by King Khan! Seeing him on the big screen in action was fabulous.

Pathaan is exactly what we hindi fans were craving for.
A well balanced fan service with full on Mass Masala action.
Though it has some flaws like quite poor bad VFX, some Cheecky dialogues, Not so much impactful bgm.
But it has so much to offer like A grand entry, excellent shots and perfectly choreographed Hand to Hand combat, Villain looking more powerful with his own Origin story, And a cameo took us back in time.

I was extremely disappointed after watching this movie. King Khan deserved better. Being a masala movie, I could ignore logical flaws and loop holes but the CGI was too bad. 100 crore more in CGI and this movie would have been worthy of being comeback of SRK.

After 20 yrs or more of service and hits after hits at least he is making a comeback. After Covid we needed this for a revival.
SRK was the soul of the movie....his swag and action sequences were top notch along with Deepika's...
Story was average and VFX was bad but better than how we saw in trailer
But one thing i have to say about VFX team...they did not screw up like we see in most films...were hero is jumping from plane but his hair is still...his cloths are still and not at all moving...here in pathan they did a great job of making sure there was movements which suit the VFX arrangment...that has to be appreciated

In the end, shan bhai I guess is referring to Tried and Refused productions. The king of sugarcoated pro bollywood reviews. He plays with the words so well that he comes across as objective. His pathan review was absolutely vague and nothing compared to what our shan bhai does.
This film wouldn't have achieved the success it has without SRK. Also, John plays the charismatic villain post Dhoom with elan. The story is of course riddled with plot holes and Salman's entrance is absolutely silly. There's also Deepika manning the machine gun as the baddies wait without firing a single bullet so that they can get shot. It's just another stupid over the top action film with certain fight sequences that stand out.

I agree with you 💯 ..... I really enjoyed watching SRK on the big screen after a long time, John Abraham was too good ...reminded me of DHOOM and Race movies. Lekin I agree that the story was just bleh ... It really didn't feel like a spy movie at all ... If they could have done a good build up that would have created much better story line.... They could have made Pathaan 1 and then 2 .... Anyway nonetheless I enjoyed watching him after a long time
