I think u missed one major info… I made it but khulla pani nai penda shalgam vich. When u take off the water, the actual flavour of shalgam goes with water. So when I asked mom that it just doesn’t tast like shalgam, She mentioned u only put a glass of water or according to amount of shalgam u hv so that don’t have to throw the water and keep its flavours intact. bt it was my first time, I’ll try my mom’s way next time
