  • I couldn't find a diy write up or video on how to make a chassis mount wing anywhere on the internet. In this series of videos I'm going to show you how I made a chassis mount wing on a budget.(hopefully) I love the way they look so I figured I'd give it a shot! So far so good, Subscribe to watch how this build turns out!

    WD40 called. They want to give you the "Consumer's Consumable" award. (jk good practice to lube cutters). p.s. You have steered me away from welded rod spider construction to sheet metal on my little project. It's going to be much simpler and clean from what I was dreaming up. Thank you. Utube Eh?

    I like this style wing, dont get me wrong. I just think its too loud for me, unless I'm doing time attack racing. I think its gonna look ridiculous on your car. But its your car and that the beauty of doing what you want to your car. Also, I wanna give you props for making it out of thick gauge steel, thats preety cool.

    looks like that took quite a bit of effort to cut through the car metal with a jig saw. Good Job, looking forward to seeing you learn as you go. I like to hear the right car terms/parts. It helps me learn as I watch.

    What steel thickness is it that you're using? Been thinking of building my own. Had to come on here how you did yours.

    Any issues with side to side wobble or wing bounce when driving?

    There were a lot of things that you could have done to make the process easier and more accurate but you will learn things like that and get more of an eye for it as time goes by. Otherwise good job. Oh yeah...and remember wd40 is not a lubricant it is actually a water displacement solution hence the name wd.40. I would suggest investing in some good cutting oil. You will save work time because it will cut faster and you won't eat through so many blades and drill bits.

    SUBBED AS FUCK! bro, you have ZERO clue how much i love DIY projects. I recently uploaded a video of me welding patch panels in so i don't have rust anymore. First gen legacys are notorious for having shitty quarter panels. Thanks for this, because a custom rear mount is my next project! You're the man, bro. I appreciate your work.

      +DIY Car Projects thanks man, wish I could make great videos like this, but I'm not too savvy with cameras. I'm in Prattville, Alabama and I go up to Barber's for the AMA super bike races every year. Still gotta get the Barber's tag for my el camino! Haha

    too many clips of cutting

  • @21aronapple
    @21aronapple 4 роки тому

    Watching you cut 1/8th inch steel with a jigsaw hurts me heart. Get a cut off wheel or a plas. Much quicker and no need for wd40.
