@@mojomojo2091 I finally did! Got it through airmiles actually. Setting the clock on it was a bit of a challenge the first couple of times but it works well and we’re happy wit it.
According to user manual, the 2 vs 1 bean has nothing to do with the warm setting. It states the 2 bean setting has a richer aroma, so I also assume a stronger flavour.
I've seen a few reviews that say the handle easily breaks off. Can you comment on that? I'm seriously considering buying one but want something that is worth the price tag rather a machine that mostly looks pretty on the counter. Thanks!
I bougth one in Nov 2019 and now in Feb 2022 it is leaking water under the machine every time. I consulted the SMEG authorized service person who told me that the problem is in the heating element (not a leaking hose to be replaced etc). And there is no method to fix the problem. The warrant is 24 months. Now after 27 months (!) the machine is now broken (Ive used it twice/day, the removal of calcium etc has been performed reglarly). Conclusion: it is a elegant coffee maker but the technical quality is poor - and the environmental responsibility of the SMEG company seems to be very low.
Hi, that's a good question and I really don't have an answer. I'm not privy to the decision making at either company. I only learned about the acquisition myself not too long ago.
I don’t understand why there is a 4cup option. Could someone explain this to me? Using any other coffee maker you just put the amount of water and coffee that you want to make, so the 4cup options seems to me unnecessary.
It brews slower to give a richer coffee. Otherwise 4 cups or less will brew faster and a flatter, less satisfying taste. All drip brewers have this option.
Just found out the 1-4 setting will not turn on the keep-warm plate. I woke up to cool coffee. Use the enhanced aroma to make a stronger cup. More flavorful.
even though manufacture it from Italia , according to client who purchase from Amazon and who had a question about where the Smeg coffee maker made from and person who gave client answered- made from China ,, my question is to you are Smeg products made from China? , sorry
This company is clearly relying on their retro look alone. In my 5 minutes of research I’ve heard multiple complaints about the coffee won’t stay warm, the handle breaks off, and it’s difficult to fill with water (we just saw the guy use a separate pitcher to fill it up). I really wanted to buy this but I’m not spending $300 on something with this many complaints. And what kind of channel is this???They don’t answer any of the interesting questions. Only the easy ones...
We actually do not carry this product anymore either because of the large number of returns and problems. Technivorm also has a unique retro look and the quality is significantly better and it comes with a 5 year warranty.
We love it! Only drawback is I wish the water reservoir was bigger.
I have a SMEG tea kettle, toaster and milk frother and love this product. Cant wait to replace my dying coffee machine with a SMEG coffee machine.

Just got mine super excited
How's the coffee?

Hello, this is beautiful color and design. I am planning to buy. Can you show how to wash the machine after we use it? Thank you.

Hi i love the look of the machine, but I mostly going to brew 2 cups of coffee a day, there is setting to brew just 1 or 2 cups?
Orlando Vargas There is a feature to brew 4cups. Your only other option is to only put in enough water to brew 1or 2. Source: I own one!
I saw one in Best Buy in downtown Vancouver. But they're not cheap. About $250. Before tax.
It's the tan one.
Just picked up a tan coloured one, love it. Simple to operate. Wondering if you also carry the smeg coffee grinder in tan colour?
Hi, we don't carry Smeg anymore.
Are they making a pink one?
Hello, I have the silver one and today a red point just appears on my coffe machine, I don’t know what is it
Auto stop when you pull out carafe during brew so it doesn’t drip?
Can we use it as a tea maker?
Filling the watertank with the coffeepot itself is quite difficult, should use a different water can like the guy in the vid.....
How to wash water tank.. looks very difficult to wash
Is there a reheat button? I know it can keep the coffee hot for a while, but what if I want to drink a coffee after lets say two hours?
Why SMEG bought La Pavoni? What kind of espresso machine would work on? Something cool or just expensive?

@@eriknippak5659 thank you. No, Not all drip brewers have this. My only has an on/off button 😅.
Is this machine loud during brewing? Thanks.
It gurgles a bit but no more so than any other coffee machine I’ve seen.
Any idea what’s wrong, machine not emptying? Red light came on I did a descale but water still didn’t come through so now full of descale?
It’s only 3 months old and the Drip style
there’s a Dolce & Gabbana version which is 5x the price of the normal one...😨😐😑
Why don’t have pink colour 😭
They do, for they espresso machine
does it have a auto shut off
yes
What temperature do these boil at?
We actually don't carry Smeg anymore so I cannot give you a precise temperature but the ideal for drip coffee is around 92 or 93 degrees celsius
@@iDrinkCoffeeCanada how come you don't carry them anymore? Is it because there rubbish? 😆
No pink?????
Why on the sites there is no all color
Do you make the coffee maker in white?

Smeg???
Realy? Someone named a product 'smeg'?
Not if you knew that it meant...
