ham par tumhari chaah ka ilzam hi to hai
dushnam to nahin hai ye ikram hi to hai
karte hain jis pe taan koi jurm to nahin
shauq-e-fuzul o ulfat-e-nakam hi to hai
dil muddai ke harf-e-malamat se shaad hai
ai jan-e-jan ye harf tira naam hi to hai
dil na-umid to nahin nakam hi to hai
lambi hai gham ki shaam magar shaam hi to hai
dast-e-falak men gardish-e-taqdir to nahin
dast-e-falak men gardish-e-ayyam hi to hai
akhir to ek roz karegi nazar vafa
vo yar-e-khush-khisal sar-e-bam hi to hai
