Vegeta already noticed that goku had transcended the limit of ssj2 after his fight against yakon so it’s no surprise to him

It’s harder for goku to lock on to weak power levels like bulma’s parents (not saying he can’t). There’s also the fact he doesn’t know where the radar is in their house, only bulma and probably trunks would and looking would take a lot of time that they don’t have. Also making a new one would take a while
He can take Bulma or Trunks with him with instant transmission.
@@deckzone3000 same problem tho, he cant lock on to weak power levels like Bulma's parents. If Trunks gotta come with him anyway, he might as well go by himself. Besides, that leaves Goku free to distract Majin Buu from killing more people

Instant Transmission can be done only when the ki of the person that Goku wants to lock on is substantial or familiar. Also normal humans with powerful level of 5 can't act as a target for Goku to lock onto

This and the next episode I remember watching with my great grandfather. Both of us got super excited when goku said " and this , is to go , even further BEYOND" watching again , remembering the memories I had with him, I am in tears and goosebumps. My great grandfather was like goku in a way. Pure heart, unbelievably kind, and protective of those he loved. I miss him so much, watching this is bringing back so many memories

"I'm guessing an ascended Super Saiyan isn't much of a challenge for you, so how about I take it up to the next level", was the best line I ever heard, after remembering how insane Gohan was vs Cell, and how much stronger Vegeta and Goku's SSJ2 than Gohan's was.
Majin Vegeta and Goku ssj2 were only slightly stronger than Cell games Gohan ssj2. It was a very small difference.
Vegeta states that when Goku powered up to SSJ2 he is stronger than his son was when he fought Cell. Doubt he would have said it that way if there was barely a difference... @@ZarrarAAli
@@CommanderTurner it's noticable to them but it would still be a tough fight. Don't forget that Vegeta nor Goku ever saw how truly powerful Gohan was as he was either seriously holding back, or was injured throughout his time in ssj2. Piccolo who's known to have the best sense of someone's ability also stated when seeing Majin Vegeta that he hasn't felt power like this since Gohan fought cell. That tells you enough that their power is comparable
Bulma’s parents already said they wouldn’t leave the first time Goku brought everyone to the look out. Also he can’t lock on the weak powers with the earth clouded by Buu. Sending trunks and him distracting Buu isn’t bad logic imo.

The dub is a little different from the original, which kinda makes a huge difference, originally since the last episode both boys were doubting goku's strenght, calling him weak and also before trunks leave he originally look at goku and say that hes worried about goku getting hurt, because even his father couldnt handle majin boo

Goku can't use instant transmission unless he's sensing someone's power,bulmas parents have very lower energy which makes it hard for goku to sense since everyone on the planet have similar energy.
The reason I think goku didnt bother with going for the dragon radar himself is cause he isn't good at finding things like that. even trunks took time finding it.
if he had transported with trunks he would have had to anyway teleport back to buu to hold them off while trunks searched for the radar.
Yes and also he must lock to some ki so he can teleport there. Maybe it wouldnt be possible to lock to oma and opa.

I guess Goku's logic was, if I instant transmission myself to capsule corp it will still take me some time to find the radar, you know, with that not being my house and all. During that time Majin Buu could destroy the whole town and everything would go to sh*t.
But Trunks lives there, he should know where the radar is, while I instant transmission myself to where Majin Buu is and stop him for some time until Trunks finds the radar.
His plan was in fact better, is just that it wasn't explained well.
This is true. Even Trunks, with Dr.Briefs' help, took a while to find the radar. Without Goku stalling Buu he more than likely would've arrived in West City and wiped it off the map.
Best plan would have been Goku taking Trunks to his place.
Goku has a hard time sensing normal people's energy. He has to sense the energy of someone strong, everyone else's blends together. So he can't Instant Transmission to West City. As for SSJ3, like Goku said, neither Goku or Vegeta actually believed Buu would be that strong -- so instead Goku favored just enjoying the fight like he normally does.

Goku needs to lock onto something for instant transmission. He usually has trouble finding regular people so maybe this was the best play.
I know you guys are way past this now but to answer Maddie's question, the reason Goku opted for this plan is because he needs to sense a person's ki in order to use the instant transmission, normal humans: ki level is so minimal at a distance is impersectible.
Instant transmission isn’t a technique that can be used to go anywhere Goku wants. It works by locking onto someone else’s ki. Bulma’s parents aren’t warriors so their energy wouldn’t be strong enough for Goku to get to them. Just thought I’d mention this since it came up a few times
Goku can’t IT if he can’t sense your energy it’s very difficult for him with how weak normal humans are especially while Majin Buu creates a energy smokescreen around the whole planet due to how strong he is. You have to have a discernible power level. Trunks also knows the grandparents and can get the radar faster than someone like piccolo who barely knows them.
But also so the plot can happen lol.
I know we are all looking forward to next episode, but I am definitely looking forward to the WORLD CHAMP BATTLE
The flashback that Krillin thinks of, that never actually happens in OG dragon ball. That's the first time you get to see that.
But Krillin being almost as strong as Goku part is true!! They were equals while they were training under Master Roshi.
To answer Madison question why Goku couldn’t instant transmission to Capsule corp,
It’s Because he can only instant transmission to a power level and since dr brief doesn’t have a power level he can’t get there
He can do sense and Goku sense ki to use instant transmission not their power level. But the reason he didn't choose because of how smaller their ki is it will take time for him to track them. Plus he doesn't know where the radar is kept.
Actually all humans have a power level but it's so low that Goku can't detect a certain human over another, they blend together

Krillin is my favorite character of all of Dragonball franchise. But I don't think he was ever stronger than Goku. I think when they first trained under Master Roshi, Goku was stronger, but Krillin was more cunning and was able to trick him a few times into winning competitions with each other but in a straight up fight Goku had Krillin beat every time. They were definitely much closer to each other in strength, that power gap widened a whole lot starting in DBZ. Also I don't think they really had a concept of aura like when they were kids (even with moving water). I always took that flashback as Krillin being nostalgic and remembering the old days with sort of a biased influence.
You guys should watch dragon ball gt and super after you guys are Finished with Z would very like to enjoy it with you guys since the commune thinks mostly as i do i guess(:

What i loved about this episode is Trunks has been so disrespectful towards Goku from the moment Goku arrived on Earth, telling Goten your dad doesn't look that tough or my dad can take him or when he said "oh yea they say your dad is pretty good too. Then when Goku turns SSJ2, he's like "oh, he's just as strong as my dad" Yeah watch your mouth young buck.

I think they don’t want to instant transmission to Dr Brief’s because their last wishes was to stay in their home with their pets. So out of respect, maybe that’s why Goku and the rest didn’t want to bring them back to the lookout. That’s what seems to make sense to me

But honestly he should've sent piccolo since he's probably faster than trunks and it'd make more sense to keep the boys in the same place for safety.
Yeah but it's trunks home so you would firgue he would quickly know where Bulma keeps things like the dragon rader..is that enough of a reason to split up the two ppl you are counting on to save the world..probably not IMO.

Goku needs a target for instant transmission, normal humans dont have substantial enough power for Goku to lock on to, heck master Roshi barely qualified when he displayed the instant transmission for the first time. Thats also why Goku brought exploding Cell to King kais planet instead of the dead of space. They sent Trunks to retrieve the radar because he's lives at Capsule Corp and should be able to find the radar and get out more quickly than someone unfamiliar with the layout.
The next episode is basically 80% Sean Schemmel screaming to go even further beyond his larynx capacity! Im here for it!
Goku can only use Instant Transmission when he locks onto someone's life force/ energy, but since her parents are only low power leveled humans he doesn't have a way to lock onto them since they blend in with everyone else.

As a kid that made me laugh for no reason thinking Goku believed Goten was a brat
I don't Goku would even be able to lock onto Bulma's parents. Their PLs are probably even harder to sense than when Gohan was about to die. And that was so low up until this point Goku still thinks Gohan is dead.
Also Bulma's parents refused to leave so it might be hard force them to go. And also I believe Trunks had to go due to only Bulma & Trunks knowing where the radar is. And since trunks is a lot faster than any of Bulma's aircrafts...it had to be him.
