So should trainees go around stopping innocent members of the public going about their day, questions being asked and expecting an answer? If that's they train them to do, then the problem is the training. Remember when Reggie was stopped at first he didn't know who he was. The trainee, should of said nothing, observed, then act if a crime was happening, he done the opposite. Oh and he let Reggie go. Ffs.

But, later on he explained that he was still in training and it seems that he has not yet graduated to being an officer. Isn't that illegal ? impersonating a police officer ? I wonder does he detain people in pubs/nightclubs that he thinks look suspicious ?
He is not the kind of raw material that we should be allowing out on the street with powers of arrest etc. Even before he has any powers, he was lying to gain the upper hand in an interaction with a law-abiding member of the public.
