I got so excited when I saw the video because I thought that meant you got your third LADD. But for real, frog monarchs are possibly my favorite deck of all time. I won an Edison flight at Pasadena with it and won the new LADD mat.
How did you win a flight? And could you please describe your experience winning the sick LADD mat? I’ll attend my first ever YCS in a couple months and I’m going only to play Edison (and some goat). I’m very excited but also a bit in the dark on how Time Wizard side events work.
@JRCxyz they do 8 person "flights" for some side events, including time wizard. You get paired up against one of the other 8 and it's single elimination. After three rounds of matches they have a winner. Winning that mat was awesome because it was only the second event it was available to win. It also made me feel better after scrubbing in the main event
I never knew I needed a deck profile from Joe this badly until I saw this title 5 seconds ago. This deck is a really fun variation of Monarchs that are.....incredibly strong for Edison and formats around it.
Would love to see some more videos on Nationals 2012. At the time a lot of us really disliked it but in retrospect, that format was actually pretty awesome (outside of getting looped). Legitimately super diverse and so amazing to see how decks came in and out of the meta as each month went by
@@YGOHistory Watched every video and loved them all. I guess more so I'd like to see gameplay videos of that format again and maybe see if it can build up a popularity like Edison has
Looking forward to more nats 2012 content too. Such an underrated time in the game's history and Joe was at his most prolific in the competitive scene, so his insight is especially valuable for exploring that era of competition
As you say, an extremely cool side deck. I’m a big fan of profiles (especially retro ones) where the players *knew* what they were worried about and brought heat to deal with them. This Side is in contrast to some of the ones you have shown off in the past and have left me scratching my head as to why the players made those choices
Herald in this format struggles vs spirit reaper, it wasnt until the agent structure deck came out that herald finally had access to master hyperion to pop reaper
Yes, i think he talk about that format. He mentioned darksoul and infernity, so dont talk about edison for sure 😅 TSHD comes out in may if im not wrong
@@danlay638 don’t overestimate ppl lol. 1/5 of the comments talk about edison and that’s after 2-3 were deleted after I commented under them saying that this is not edison format. I was sent this video in an Edison group. Had to explain to everyone it’s not edison lol. Love joe he’s got the best content on UA-cam. Just with a format that’s getting as much hype as edison you wana be careful.
@Michael Serfaty I dont know what matters about her gender why you gotta sexualize it. but she was one of the main people that played it during that period of time also I can't remember the name but it wasn't billy that made the deck
In most cases, he defines a format as when that format's ban list first took effect. So this deck, under his system, would fall in the March 2010 format since it was legal during that period and before the September 2010 list ended it.

@@michaelfaty I know that, but Frog Monarchs in general still existed in Edison. Just no Ronintoadin or Substitoad

I’ve done the top 6 or so decks (WU, Rabbit, Inzektor, Dragon, DW and Hero). I’ll eventually do more.

You needed to run Herald of Orange Light or other tuners.
