I like the well decorated White House, but I see why comparisons to the "Hunger Games" came in on point.
Lavish? All this cardboard and foam ticky tack lavish. Macy's 34th does a lavish display compared to this mess. Most of this was not well executed at all. And I'm a gay Republican. You know we have good taste. Don't get me started on the horrible dance that the defund the police dance troop did with that weird woman dressed like a little girl smelling all the bullshyttte spinning around with her poofy pigtails.
The economy is doing awesome. If things are tough for you Salvation Army can help with a Christmas dinner, there's LIHEAP for your utilities etc. Reach out and get some assistance! Democrats don't want Americans to go hungry, or struggle. That is why they always support assistance programs. We all can't be at the top of our game ALL the time. Shit happens, reach out and get help. Seriously.
It is part of the budget for the National Park Service. The White House is not a private home and is under the governance of the Park Service. Any time an item is moved, dusted, repaired, or changed in the house it is watched and documented. The entire bottom floor is a museum open to the public. This is the "Peoples" house and has been since it was first built.

I feel like parts of it are quite lovely and nostalgic but I do find a bit of it somewhat unsuitable for the residence of the President. I can certainly appreciate being fashionably frugal when so many people in this country are struggling financially but it could have been done more tastefully.
