Spellbinding doesn't even come close to describing what this is like live. I will NEVER forget it. The entire crowd in Phoenix was in rapt attention....just like good folks here in Atlanta. There are no people like Heilung fans.
Can anyone explain the meaning of the song and the ritual they’re performing? I was there Friday night and I took 4 grams of some potent mushrooms and this part of the show had a very profound effect on me and would love to know what it all means.
It is from an old Icelandic poem called "Grogaldr." The first and last stanzas are sung in Old High German, and the middle parts are 9 blessings sung in Old Norse. The translation (roughly) in English goes: (Old High German) Once sat women, they sat here, then there. Some fastened bonds, some impeded an army, Some unraveled fetters: Escape the bonds, flee the enemy! (Old Norse) Then first I will chant thee The charm oft-tried, That Rani taught to Rind; From the shoulder whate'er Mislikes thee shake, For helper thyself shalt thou have.
(I wash off the hatred of my enemies and the theft and anger of rich men.)
Yeah it is about trust. If you ask me, they are reenacting a scenario where the sacrificed woman gets saved in time by the priestess instead of dying and becoming a bog mummy, like what happened to the Elling woman.

I was there for the Atlanta show. I was literally shaking by the end.
@@heathersams4721 It's been two months and I STILL think about the show constantly.
Was a great show. Was the closest thing I’ve gotten to feeling like I was in church since my conversion to Germanic paganism almost a decade ago.
The men’s chant is so powerful. “I wash from me my enemies, the greed and wrath of powerful men.”
that was so beautiful i cryed so bad
This band needs to perform at ground level in the middle of a big circle deep in the forest
Thank you for posting...this was such an amazing night.
My dream has became to see heilung live
What I wouldn't give to be nearly sacrificed by Heilung....!
Can’t wait to see them live in Switzerland in August 🤘
My favorite track of the group! soon in lyon in France, after having seen them in Paris last month

Its about trust. Traust means trust. The priestess heals the woman and make her back to live after she is killed by the demon
Lucky you!!

Thank you for posting , your video looks professional! ❤
I gain say with the gods
Where is who?
The Terracota effect
too many theatrics it steals energy from the performance especially the vocal performances. I liked it more when the show was more simple.
