I love how you guys point out treasure to each other. Friends.
Yikes! I was overwhelmed just watching this video. It seemed extremely noisy in there and it was the most disorganized thrift store I’ve ever seen. I have to give you credit for being able to get things off the shelf with one hand! That being said, you’re sure to find some thing, and the hunt is the exciting part for me. Even if I don’t buy anything I just love seeing what there is in the world. (And kind of thinking we really don’t need to make any more new stuff, there’s clearly plenty of it already! ) I feel like you could spend all day in a store like this, but when you don’t have the time it could be even more frustrating. I do enjoy watching your videos because we get to see everything you’re walking past not just what you decide to pick up. The point of view really appeals to me.
This is my thrift store! I've been going there since the early 80's & it's just 2 miles from me. I go there every week & usually spend a couple of yrs there, depending on who's with me. One day I decided to go by myself and just take my time. I was in there 5 hours (till they closed) and I felt like I hadn't gotten to see everything! This store is bigger than what she showed in this video. There are about 10 more aisles of the same things (glassware & housewares) & that doesn't include all the clothes, shoes, jewelry, linens, toys, artwork, larger household things and more. But take heed. Sometimes you do have to wait for a cart!
@@maryjanecrochet where is this located please? I am from Schuylkill county.
I love the fact you are kind enough to put things together when you fine them and you have passion for past treasured items. Nice videos keep tracking there are more great fines buried.
That place is overwhelming overload! Crazy! And that cute little turquoise pottery pig bank....I have it! A few years ago working at a bank, a customer came in with it full of coin to redeem in our coin machine. I fell in love with it so she sold it to me right then and there! She sits on my foyer chest and collects the loose change from around the house!
I love hearing stories like this:)
Thanks for sharing.
those shelves! They were so busy with a mix of items that my organized mind would have probably left after two aisles lol. But they did seem to have some nice items.
It amazes me how you find things so quickly. Even things buried you can pick them out! More great finds! Thank you for sharing your fun trip!
This place gives me anxiety! And I am not a tidy person! I liked when you put the green glasses together. :)
This place is a fuster cluck! I'm getting anxiety just from watching it. Wow!
Oh WOW....I don’t think I’ve ever seen a thrift store so big & packed. Lots of hidden treasures 😍😍
It's worth taking a trip here! And there are several others around it.
@@maryjanecrochet where is this?
This place makes me want to organize something 🤗
Come over
Fun but overwhelming.
Love the way you organize the shelf items sometimes...it feels great to see you put things together that should be together...love that!!💜💜💙💙💚💚🙏🙏
Only at 1:49 and it's overwhelming! It makes me think of the Goodwill Bins only vertical and with higher prices, of course. Yikes!
Just what I was thinking. Lol😁
Great to see Jeffery hanging out with you again.Send him our love.
"It was almost SURGICAL...quite nice!" LOL It's so fun watching you shop in my state. Thanks for another great video, Jocelyn!
I JUST bought that exact crane last week from the bins! I also got another large one standing up and two babies. Love them! The Wilton Armetale pewter pieces are fantastic (i didd not like that pattern, but some are really elegant!)! Cook, fridge, freeze. Won't tarnish. Tough as nails. Food safe and keep food super hot or cold. The company sold to another foundry, so WA is starting to be harder to get. I have many pieces. Some, I paid a great deal for. They are far superior to any other afordable but classic pewter. Just FYI if you come across a piece ... you may want to check out! So fun seeing your road trip!
Wow that place is huge I can see how you can get overwhelmed my gosh it would take me a month just to go through everything in that store awesome finds thanks for another shopping 🛍 day
WOW! It’s stacked, piled, hanging! Stuff everywhere! Fun place.
I see all the negative comments about this thrift store, however, being a local of them, i have found some of the best treasures in all 3 of these stores!! Yes they are overwhelming and some of the prices are to much...but im telling you, as a junk lover I spend hours (usually 3 or so) in these stores...in heaven!!!
@Kari
I think we were all overwhelmed by the packed shelves compered to the thriftstores CLL normally goes to where the shelves are done by colour😉
I think it is great. There is hardly anything in the thrift stores where I live. We don't have a goodwill store and the prices are going up at the stores we do have.
Would you list an address?
Where is the store in this video?
Where are the others located? We have one 30min from me in Souderton. The whole strip mall is Mennonite Central Committee.
wow that is a huge place with alot of stuff. I freaked when you passed the blue roasting pan. I love those.
Makes me want to jump in and organize the shelves.
Me too!
Same! Having worked in a drugstore during my 20's, I had to straighten the shelves every night. I find myself still doing it without even thinking about it when I'm out shopping. Old habits...
@@somethingoldsomethingnew2199 OMG me too. I can't help myself.
@@somethingoldsomethingnew2199 Me, too. I always love to be given a chore to organize someone's chaos.
OMG YES!
Fun video. It’s been so long since I’ve thrifted! Glad to see you out in action.
Well, the nice thing about getting older is.....watching something you probably saw a year ago seems all new!! Enjoy your baby and new house!! I'm sure I speak for most that your reruns are still a lot of fun to see!! Now this place, I think you could go back everyday for a month and find all new things. Thank you for always being my cereal & coffee wake up!! PS like your new camera better (ha !!!)
Thanks for voice over. Maybe my headache will go away. Uhh O back to noise. HELP!
Valley Thrift is amazing! It’s an hour away for me, but I go there whenever I’m in the area. Definitely agree about the overwhelming: stacked towers of stuff, things in the aisles, the crowds, the loud radio, unintelligible announcements, and crushing/crashing noises from the back room! It’s an experience for sure, but I have found some amazing things there. Staffordshire dogs, majolica, quilts, vintage fabric and linens, etc.
Where is located?
I live 2 miles from here and go weekly 😃
@@wendysimonds6338 Dayton, Ohio
Love the fact that you and Jeffrey are shopping together!!
Wow what a house of treasure! I think I'd be overwhelmed too!!
“I’ll come and save you!” Lol!! I Love it! That blue bottle was nice. Liked the Crane bird, pig,Black and Red glass tray😍,light blue candlestick, ice bucket and too bad on the turtle it was cute.
Wow that's a kind of overwhelming adventure in thrift store - super excited I hope you come again to this place
The noise in the background, aah. I turned down the volume. Now I know why other Stores don’t get items at all. So proud of you staying. I would have probably of walked out midway.
It's funny to read people's thoughts on this Thrift Store and it being such a mess !! And they are correct .. but that's what I grew up on are stores like this ... And stuff just being all over the place and piled on the shelfs is what I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!! because you never know what you will find and where you will find it !! And they are always bringing out new stuff all day long everyday !!!!
I agree with you! I live 2 miles from here & have been going there for almost 40 yrs, even when they were in a different building.
Omg, this is my favorite thrift store. I shop in here atleast once a week. I find some great deals. Glad you enjoyed it.
My favorite too!
Grab a big basket or any "container" when they don't have carts!! Judging by the last video YOU NEED IT where you're at!! Repurpose it until ready to check out :)
Take your own wheelie cart like for flea markets.
I love it when you put things in the proper place. That's exactly what I would do.
Oh my! Cant believe you all were in the area. This place is very overwhelming there are a number of Saint Francis thrift shops that i would highly recommend in that area wish i had bumped in to all of you that would of made my day😁
That is a big store 🏬 Great video Joselyn 👍
The noise and trashy condition of the shelves would make me want to run. You're a brave lady to put up with it. I hope your treasures were worth all the chaos.
I do realize this is a year old video but I do hav to say how nice it is to watch all you shop together and ur nitches do collide, ur all different and very interesting to watch so thank you for that. Hugs 🤗 🤗 and Love 💕💕💕 from Sheboygan WI.
Oh my gosh… I could literally be in that place for HOURS!
That's crazy!!wish ours were that stocked!!thanx for taking us with you❤️
This looked just like The Valley Thrift store in my town, Dayton Ohio!! Even the price tags are the same!
It is the one in Dayton
Mine too Sassy! As soon as she said valley thrift it brought back so many memories! I love digging on those shelves!
It is! That's my town too & I live 2 miles from here. I've been going to it since the early 80's when the father and son had the store together in Easttown plaza, till they split up and one of them built this store, Valley Thrift. I still love going to Village Thrift Outlet in Easttown in the old Elder Beerman building. I like their prices better too with 2 color tags ½ everyday + their other sales. I find more clothes I like at Village Thrift.
@@maryjanecrochet I go to the Village once in awhile. They do have good sales. But I don't like to have to reach up to the top row to look at things. They are cheaper than the Valley.
I love thrift stores like this. It's like I can't get enough. I think of it as a awesome treasure hunt
I absolutely love Valley thrift store. I wish I knew you guys were in Dayton. I would have loved to have met you all and shop with you.
I wish I had known too! I'm a regular at the one in Kettering / Dayton.
Wow, I’d never find a thrift store like that in the UK. Makes me miss the US even more.
Wow, I shop here all the time and I would have loved to have run into you! I have often wondered what you would pick if you shopped here. It is so crazy chaotic but I know you love cluttered shelves. Great video!
I'd love to be overwhelmed - where I live you get 3 little shelves with hardly anything on em! 😕
I get 4 shelves chock full but it’s only 20’ long and the majority of it is crap that stays for only who knows how long.
I love how you put sets back together!
I love that she organizes even these packed shelves! (Pulling the green glasses together...) Does anyone else miss her running commentary about what something is, or why she is (or is not) picking up an item?
Ha... I read your comment about organizing the green glasses just as that part of the video was playing. What's the chance????
@@brendamaun5455 - timing is everything!!
Wow! To see that chicken roaster just sitting right on the edge.. glad it wasn’t a Pyrex one
This gives a whole new meaning of PACKED SHELVES. how can you even find anything😬 everything on top of eachother.
Jocelyn has said on many occasions how much she loves packed shelves.
monica11760 a
It's difficult!
The tall frosted cerulean blue candle stick looks like it could be French? Lovely, anyway.
I love the mish mosh. The shelves are just loaded randomly. I would have fun there for quite a long time.
You can go here and spend 5 hrs easily and feel like you weren't finished looking! I've done that! And I just live 2 miles from this thrift store.
You’d think for how cluttered their shelves are they’d price things lower 🙄
This is crazy to me. MCC has an army of ancient volunteers. No reason for the place to look like that.
Three maybe four resellers in ONE store...that's a whole lot of togetherness y'all have had! Wow!
Seeing you all in your natural habitat is the best! Thrift On you craze-ee kids!
I dont blame you it looks overwhelming. I right there with you feeling it. Just too much clutter. I want to organize it.
I’ve opened the lot of bags after I’ve paid for them, given the extra stuff back.
Omg.. poor green Pyrex
This thrift store is so overwhelming bur it looks like you got some great items. I want to see your car after you have everything packed in from the weekend. Hope everything arrived safely since there were no banana boxes. Love all your videos, but I miss the haul videos from your home. I was always checking out how you had your console table decorated.
That place looked crazy fun! I would have to have spent hours there to make sure I didn’t miss anything. It was rather overwhelming though, both with the shelves and the volume of noise! The radio, the people, the clatter of stuff being moved around; that store would have exhausted this old introvert into a week long recovery. I think it would be worth it though!
It's really not that loud at all, but her video made it sound that way. I will say, it does get overwhelming though, just because there's so much stuff and it's so big! I live 2 miles from here and there are other great stores around here too!
I just came across this old video and was thrilled to see you with Misty and Jeffrey! I started following each of you in the past few months individually and it was so fun to see you all had a connection or friendship.
We’re no longer friends, but it was good while it lasted. ☺️
That is an incredible amount of stuff!
Omg! There’s no way I could have stayed as long as you did, Jocelyn. Too many people, too much noise AND a radio blaring? Eek! I can handle the bins better! Lol
Honestly, one of the best videos you've done in months
The secret to Valley Thrift Store is 2 walk the aisle twice one way and then down the other you have to get there early as soon as the door opens walk slowly and take deep breaths I love the store but yes the prices have went up a lot I used to take my mother there in her late 80s oh my goodness the fun we had she's gone now but that place has good memories I was actually there after you and had bought a very pretty vase that you had picked up and looked at.. as I was watching the video I seen you pick up the vase and I scream all look that's my vase I truly love watching all of your videos I have just recently found you but I have learned a lot from you thank you so much for sharing all your videos and your Treasures love from Ohio hugs and kisses Christie
I've been going here since the early 80's before they built this new building. Back then it was a father/son who owned the one store, Village Thrift Outlet, in Easttown plaza (Where Elder Berman used to be). Someone told us back then the father and son had a falling out and that's why they split. I always wondered if they got back together. But it was originally supposed to benefit the veterans.
I live in Dayton and am a full-time picker. I avoid this thrift shop as the reward tends to be low vs effort/overwhelm of being in there. The Goodwill bins are right down the road though. Still enjoyed watching :)
OMGOODNESS!!! I’d have lost my mind in there!!!
This brass crane is Leonard Egret figurine
I took my hubby to that thrift store on Labor Day weekend. The shelves packed as well as the aisles. Very overwhelming. 😬
I could not handle that shop! Holy moly
It was so overwhelming in there at first, but I think I started to get used to it by the end, lol.
I have never seen shelves so packed ! Wow !!!
That is the most overwhelming , yet underwhelming, thrift store I have ever seen. I know there are treasures hiding in there but the mass of it all is going to take hours to actually search each shelf.
You just have to go in there with the right mind set. And not be in a hurry.
I have never seen 1 this big! Wow
I am overjoyed,enjoying looking with you,thanks,life is good,be blessed!!!!!!
I get a kick out of Joslyn telling inanimate objects to “stay” and “it” actually listens to her!! 🤣🤣
I do the same thing if I put something back on the shelf! Lol 😆
Kristen ... as long as we can smile at our idiosyncrasies all is well! 😅🍁 🇨🇦
Can't believe I'm here and you only have 1 like! Yaaaay thank you for inspiring me I've been thrifting and finding lots of things thanks to all your videos!
I’ve binged so many of her videos and sometimes I really hate myself for watching because so many things she doesn’t grab I want for myselffff
Just started watching your videos, and am liking them. I also watch, The Niche Lady, both of you no your business well, and have great personalities.
Wow, I would spend all day there 😂
Yikes, hearing coughing nowadays gets me a little freaked out, I hope it was just the sensitivity of your mike and they were farther away. Looks like the bins only vertical! 😊
Oh no, people are on top of each other in that store.
And his nose not covered.
Jeez what a selection I'd go crazy in there I can hear my kids now. MOM ARE WE DONE YET
I would so do what you did with the green glasses. I rearrange clothes on the rack in stores! Lol
We used to have the Desert Rose plates!! I wish I could find a full set!
love seeing all the beautiful things you find, but watching you put all those fragile things in the cart makes me so anxious! I'm terrified they'll get chipped. anyways, thanks for the vids :)
This is just like our Valley Thrift in Fairfield/ Hamilton Ohio area. I’ve looked for three hours before and still don’t see everything! I love to go look around and see what I can find!
I was going to say same thing.
And like ours in Dayton !
Ann, I'm in the same area. Love that place. Never feel like I can see it all.
I go here weekly bc it's just 2 miles from me & I usually spend 1½-2 hrs here if I bring a friend. I decided to go by myself one time and spend as much time as I wanted, taking my time. Well, 5 hrs later they were getting ready to close and I still felt like I hadn't finished!!
We have valley thrift stores in my area I like them !!!! 🥰Years ago they were totally organized, now they put stuff anywhere and you have to dig to find anything . It frustrates me. I do find good things their.😜I heard that valley thrift store has a new owner and they just pile stuff anywhere . No order at all. ☹️
Maybe the good thing about it versus a Goodwill is it's not color categorized so might be easier to spot a murano piece or a specific color of glass.
Definitely sounds like a brown recluse bite. Make sure to soak it. Also put glue traps down in the house. Like under dressers and beds behind the toilets are their favorite spots.Check them often.
Praying for healing for Ash.
How ironic Joe would have glasses with Laurel's name. I would keep them for her.
Fun video.
Well, that was interesting......I think🤣. I hope they check the store each night before closing. Anything or anyone could get lost in there. Glad you still managed to find quite a few good items though. ❤🐨
One big store 🏪 glad you found lots of awesome treasure ❤️ Have a wonderful day 💕 thank you for sharing your story 📝
Fun fun fun! I love looking for treasure at places like that!
Huge store!
Some grate finds!
I seen lots of milk glass I would be grabbing all of them 🥰
The noise in the background is doing my head in never r saw so much stuff in the one place you take care of yourself it's getting nearer your time so good luck xxx
I think your superpower was working for you big time! To find such treasures amongst all that rubbish was enough to use all your energy. Any wonder you hardly talked!
I've been watching your videos for a couple days now and I just love going thrifting junking whatever you want to call it but it's so funny and I have to look fast as you're going through the rows I keep moving my phone up and down or to the side like I want to see that over there and I have to laugh at myself cuz I feel like I'm shopping with you and I'm not even there but I have really enjoyed it and I love a lot of the pieces you pick up Thank for taking me along it would be nice to have some of those big stores around, I'm from Southern Minnesota small town not too far from the Iowa border. You are very fun to go shopping with.
OMG you are killing me piling that cart up!!! LOL Youre killing me smalls! Good video.
Love how you match items up like the green glasses
Wow I wish our thrift stores that full! What a great hunting zone!!!
If I ever had the chance to shop with you Jocelyn, we would end up redoing the shelves b/c I can’t stand to leave things separated either🤣! Honestly though, I would absolutely adore to shop with any of you. If y’all are ever in Indiana, you’ll have a home base that isn’t a hotel, I’ll be your chauffeur, move all the crap sitting on top of pieces you want to see, take you to the best garage sales, auctions, HFH & GW Bin stores, multi-level antique stores, cook good, 'healthy 😉' southern food to keep you fueled, all just to watch your processes in action! My family is all from the Appalachian’s, but my parents moved to IN & I grew up going arrowhead hunting w/my dad, flea markets, yard sales, thrift shops, volunteering at a charity society & my hometown historical society w/my mom. We still go when we get time (& this year.. well we all know how that’s going🙄). My hubby & I live in a wealthy suburb N of Indianapolis & you cannot imagine what people get rid of here🤯. EG, our 1st year here, I stopped at a sale & nothing was marked. I asked about a gorgeous wreath still in it’s box & the lady said, "Umm, I don’t know, what do you think? I’ve never even BEEN to a yard sale thingie, much less have one, but my husband said to stop donating clothes & purses I’ve never even worn"😳. She then asked if I could tell her what to charge for designer clothes🤦🏼♀️. I politely said I wasn’t comfortable doing that b/c only she can put a value on her belongings, however; a designer resale shop would probably be able to help a lot. She was shocked b/c, "I had no idea there are stores like that in OUR city!!", at which point I paid $15 for my ($350..WTF😱) wreath, jumped in my SUV & drove home. People are crazy & it makes me sad to see antiques that grandkids don’t give 2¢ about like the paint by #’s TCLL found. Sorry for the long comment, hit me up if anyone is heading to IN, lol. Lots of hugs, love & prayers that y’all stay safe & healthy 🤗💜🙏🏻😷🦋!
I live down the street. You have to look everywhere. Found a Whiting davis tile purse in excellent condition today for 2.99. Don't know who's doing the pricing. Tucked the purse under items in my cart so fast
That was left just for you .😂
