The Proactor and Reactor Design Patterns

In this video, the Proactor and Reactor design patterns are explained.
Both address the problem of having to process requests by a client. The reactor does is synchronously, while the reactor does is asynchronously.
This is part of the lecture "Design Patterns" at Graz University of Technology (Austria).
