This guy is the real deal!! Overall, he is the best bass singer I've heard. No fry, no subharmonics, clear deep voice with a pleasant vibrato . . . and, a great stage presence. I had no idea until recently that there was a great "Southern gospel quartet" like this outside of the USA. LOL
idk about "no fry." i think he starts to have to use chest-fry at F1, but chest-fries some notes between G#1-F#1. there's a couple F#1s that sounds like chest in there but i think thats his limit.
G1 is the perfect musical note..strong enough to rattle walls and sound impossible. yet musical enough to be clearly read as a note. after that it just gets muddy
You did a great job with this compilation! Even though I don't speak the language, it was very inspiring. Also, I recognized the songs that were sung by many of the quartets I used to see live in the 80s through the 2010s in the US. Oh, and the tutorial clip with Tim Riley was great, too!
Thanks. I haven’t gotten to know him & his bass singing very well, & these note searches take HOURS. So when I learn & listen to more of his stuff .. I’ll cook somethin’ up.
a few of his G1s sound chesty. 13:37 sounds like chest to me. the F1 at 15:20 might be chest but its a little too quiet for me to say with confidence. everything lower is 100% fry

Big fan of you dan, if ya get a chance tell me what you think of my bass. I’m more of a baritone with bass notes, some days A1 or G#1 chest.
Yo what’s that song at the beginning of the video, it sounds nice
And keep doing ur thing, ur gonna get there someday
Jacob Giacona Quarteto Gileade - Sou Feliz
Clap it up Dan oh thanks
His chest voice is very strong and loud.. He is a true bass singer.
Well if his D1 is loud
Then could his lowest note be a Bb0 or a record G0?
🤤

This guy is so underrated in the gospel bass singer world
Why underrated?
Because here in Brazil, real talented musicians aren't supported as they deserve!
@@lucasferrari_lf sim,demais,plazivelmente,brasil é abençoado,eu amo o meu país
thats true. probably just because he is not american
He underrated simply because he hasn't got the exposure the top SG basses get doing the concert and church circuit in the States.
Here in Brazil we call him of Junior Trovão "thunder Junior"
Na verdade eu acho que esse é o nome dele também. Aluísio Júnior Trovão

To me, the note at 6:14 is my favorite. That's clean B1 off- mic.

Wow, amazing, and so impressive bass! His notes are really strong, but i think D1 its chest-fry (Maybe Eb1 to)
his lowest chest note seems to be F#1/F1. E1 sound very chest-fry-ish, as do the notes below
@@heliotropeskies5918 I think that's accurate.
