Great video and I am waiting for my delivery of side skirts to install like you did. After watching I will clear coat mine and I will also get 3M protection film.
ok so, i have these exact skirts. and my passenger side did the same thing, so the mold for the right hand side is not perfect, but the left side will be perfect. and these look nice because they dont go up like the zl1 skirts onto the body which make the car look like it sits higher
Jose Pulido Thank you. I will try. It does not have any performance advantage until it's t tuned for so I may wait till I have headers as well. Don't want to pay for tune and dyno time twice.
Hey! Looks great! I have EOS ZL1 style rockers I ordered and was wondering if it will be fine by just installing them with self tappers screws drilled in on the inside hole templates only?
Lenny, How is the paint holding up on those skirts? Wondering if some special primer or paint activator adhesive should be used on the skirts after sanding and prior to painting to help keep paint from flaking or chipping off too easily. Any info or update would be great! Thanks. Looks damn good.
Noooooo.... You didn't! Well i hope you found a nice fun replacement for it. That was a nice good looking Camaro you had. Keep us posted if you got something different. Thanks
@@keithcastleberry3993 Thanks Keith. I don't have a fun as this one yet, but hopefully soon. For now Harley will have to do :) Will definitely post an update as soon as I will get a new ride!
kenny - another great video. I have a question though. When you installed your jack pads months ago.. Did you place the front jack pad on the closet slot to the front wheel or did you use the second slot towards the middle of the car?
Hi Lenny, just ordered as well and came across to your video, thank you for the detailed installation and painting, I will do exact same, one question is, how many total rivets you needed for both sides? And where did you use the screws and what size? Also, 3/16"x 1/4" would work? Last thing is, bead size? Thanks.
Thanks. So far the paint is holding up well. Lets see how they look after winter with all the snow and salt. As far as keeping the sides of the car cleaner, I don't think it made much of a difference.
GREAT AND THE ONLY YT VID on this!!! THANK YOU, so I'm a new sub and I want to do this side skirts on my 2017 Camaro 2LT Convertible and wanted to know how well has the spray paint held up in driving and car washes, is it looking like new or fading? I thinking of putting 2 coats of Satin clear UV protection on top to make it more durable for power washing at home..
Thank you. Glad you liked it. There was a slight fade after NJ salty winter. Couple of satin clear coats would give it the extra protection for sure 👍🏻
@@BLUPRINT1LE thank you. I am glad you liked it. If you lift your car a lot then pads are worth it. But if once in a while then their magnetic puck will work just fine
Nice video. Where about are you in NJ? I'm in Monmouth county. I have a 2017 SS 1LE same color as yours. Sounds like your planning further mods. Perhaps we can share our experiences. Right now my car has some basic bolt-ons. RotoFab cold air intake, Kooks longtube headers, and full Borla exhaust. With a simple tune the car laid down 436 rwhp and 435 rwtq. I was thoroughly impressed with the numbers. My car is back in the performance shop for more engine mods and some visual mods. GPI ported heads, BTR stage 2 cam, Atomic intake, Jet Performance ported throttle body and e-85 sensor. I'm expecting anywhere between 510 - 530 rwhp and about 485-495 rwtq on 93 octane. I race at NJMP and while the car is a beast in the corners I want more speed down the straights. Keeping the car naturally aspirated was important for me to maintain the balance of the car. My buddy is hosting a dyno day & BBQ in Fords NJ in a couple of weeks at his performance shop. You should stop on up. Last year we had well over 150 cars come through for the BBQ and 15 cars ran the dyno. Chevy's, Fords and Dodges are all there. If you have any interest message me.
Thank you. I live in Middlesex county. Your list of mods sound great, and I am sure she is/will be a beast! Enjoy it. I will try and check out the event at Fords. I am not sure yet what is on the list for my next set of mods. I am still contemplating on what's next :)
_White SS_ Thank you. I don't think so. Feels pretty solid but obviously time will tell. I would imagine it will be like any other satin paint with no clear coat on it.
Thanks. No I am on stock springs. In NJ the stock height is already pushing it so I will most likely stay stock height. Yes the price was definitely a moving point for me.
Lenny, here we are two years later and was wondering how the side skirts are holding up paint wise? Great video!
Wow very nice. Can’t wait to get mine ordered painted and installed. Looks so much better
Thanks James. It does change the stance of a car quite a bit.

How well did these skirts hold up over almost 2 years?
so these are the kind with no 3m tape but drill more holes in the car? IDK if i could do this to my camaro man
First hole was the hardest 😀
Can you please show me the rivets that expand in you were talking about in the video
Make a video about you installing a flex fuel sensor. You videos are very thorough

Lenny K yup i agree. I’m actually doing the same mods in a couple weeks but letting a shop do the install.
Watch all the other videos out there everybody that puts it on is taking it off

Lenny! Is that paint holding up ok or would you recommend a different path or option. I cant even FIND that Supermaxx Satin..... Anywhere.
Sorry Keith. I don’t have an update for you. Unfortunately I have sold the car already. But while I had it, the paint held up pretty well.

How has the paint held up
How can you take off the rivet without falling from the inside? Cause as I know you can't get it inside unless you take off the panel.

Did you paint the bottom sides of the skirts? Or no need since they face the ground?
Looks great, how has the paint held up? Do the side skirts seem to keep the sides of the car protected or any cleaner? Thanks, DC

When you jacked the car up did you use the ZL1 addons jackpad product or you used another jack point on the car?
I use ZL1 addons jackpads.
Awesome. Thanks I wasn’t sure if it was worth it or not. Thank you very much. Awesome video!

Camaro Jay thank you!
What size drill bit did you use to make the holes?
did yours come with any self tapping screws?
How has the paint held up?
Another great video. You think that paint will fade fast?
_White SS_ Thank you. I don't think so. Feels pretty solid but obviously time will tell. I would imagine it will be like any other satin paint with no clear coat on it.
Lenny K makes sense. Would they be hard to take off and repaint?
_White SS_ well I mostly used rivets, so to take it off I would have to drill them out. You can always use self tapping screws.
Who tha fuck Disliked this video? smh
Amazing video and tutorial man Like too🙌🏾
has anyone had any issues with just using the self taping screws ? i dont have access to a rivet gun :(
Any reason you went with these over American Authority or other brands?
When I ordered these, AA were out of stock, and others that I liked were out of my price range. That's the only reason.
Thanks! Also - how does the Krylon Satin match with your other 1LE Satin pieces? I am trying to decide between painting and wrapping.
Actually Krylon Satin really dam close to the 1LE Lip and blade spoiler. Not sure how well the wrap will look.
Thanks Lenny. I'm right behind you on mods to my 1LE and really appreciate your videos!
My pleasure!
what brand skirts are those ? maybe I missed it
It's a ZL1 replica from e-bay
Just installed, exact same results, passenger side is shit. Driver side is perfect. Will do some re rivet work and secure the both ends better.
Why does it freeze?
Strange. Something happened on the UA-cam side. I will contact them. Thanks for letting me know.
Remind me, are you lowered? I want to so the skirts but since I am lowered been hesitant. The price is right on these. Good video !
also I now want that rivet gun !
Thanks. No I am on stock springs. In NJ the stock height is already pushing it so I will most likely stay stock height. Yes the price was definitely a moving point for me.
MojaveKY That rivet gun saved me a lot of time and my hands 😀
What brand are they??

That link you provided says 3000.00 for those $200 dollar plastic skirts....WTF?
It is a $200 side Skirts. The link I posted is no longer for sale by the original seller.
@@LennyK are these similar to EOS skirts?
