I also liked the deck choice based on the current metagame and took it to the top 8 of an IQ. Lost to a few bad draws, but that deck is extremely strong against so many decks.
12:07 not casting opt off the Island was I think a more serious punt because casting the Tormenting Voice there would have been your third spell and put Phoenix into play.
Awesome work on the tour :) I’m still not sure about Phoenix over drakes. I always seem to brick on Phoenix where as drakes seems a safer yet not as strong option
Awesome, good too see some some ingame footage. And congratz to that awesome placement! I'm not a huge fan of the mtgo client though, the arena interface is so much more pleasant to watch =)
Finished watching the video now =) I'm rocking the Enigma version in Bo3 ranked and can feel the pain when flooding out lategame, or bricking after a 2 land opener with cantrips. Gotta love them online shufflers. Last game vs Mono Red was such a joke.
@@josephperry3700 lol! the perfect manabase for this deck is one with 16 blue sources and 13 red sources. blood crypt is a pure red source that allows you to cast the first half of discovery / dispersal. its not only mana 'fixing' in this way, but it allows the splash for the dispersal.
How do you know when you're good at MTG you ask? Well, when its the day before you leave for the Pro Tour and you're still undecided on what to play, and just winging it.
Why are 4 copies of goblin electromancer needed, i dont see any spell (except the one x spell) that needs more than one electromancer for minimized costs??!
You need to draw 1 as much as possible. Drawing 2 does nothing, but drawing 1 is so important it's worth the risk. And it's not that awful to draw 2, since they are 2/2 still, so you can block stuff with them. Plus, opponent will always kill it, so having spares is good.
It increases your chances of having at least one. Also, electromancer has a huge target painted on his head, so the second one comes in handy when the first one eats a shock.
@@myztik5716 Also MTGO is much more streamlined, in the sense it doesn't have the animations and all that stuff, and has a more clear hand without all the movement. I'm probably in the minority but I like it more that way than a flashier thing.
@@coltinyancey3671 it's also a format you play for three months before it changes, not for three years. I find all formats to have their merit and enjoy playing most of them.
This man is such an inspiration
I played the deck you used for the PT. The feeling when you use dispersal for the win is just the best.

love LSV's innovative plays~ awesome mtg player
"Siege Gang is going to make it hard" - LSV 2019.

I know I am pretty off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released series online ?
@Ronnie Randy i use Flixzone. You can find it on google =)
Turned out to be a pretty good choice!
"I'm out of Radical Ideas" just wait until Vintage Cube comes back around
Awesome work on the tour :) I’m still not sure about Phoenix over drakes. I always seem to brick on Phoenix where as drakes seems a safer yet not as strong option
I love how you practically ran GRN drakes XD
With floods like that, you better call Noah
He just keeps getting away with it.
P.S. This recording aged really well, congrats.
Hey, who’s hyped for war of the spark?
I’m hyped for modern horizons
Did lsv test his deck the day b4 the championships and top eight? What a god
Day before he went. he usually goes early.
@@RussianBot1998 ah ok
18:10 You hould have kept at least one chart and used the radical idea, as chart can actually be a draw 2, whereas radial idea is only a cantrip.
How about a video with anti cheon ub?

Can you replace the blood crypt with watery grave?
blood crypt is a red source that lets you cast discovery. watery grave doesnt help there
Samuel Bogue but Watery Grave is a blue source that lets you cast discovery, right?
@@endruler8625 all blue sources let you cast discovery. this is a red land that lets you do that.
@@SamSerraMTG you must not know what watery grave does

New record for most land draws per video?

thanks for still playing standard on MTGO! arena is fun to pay on but it is horrible to watch
Geoffrey Bishop Ugh
What's horrible to watch about it?
@@myztik5716 you can't read the cards unless the person recording mouses over them which is a pretty big one

only LSV can make this format interesting..
why is this not on arena???
:D
The last game, if you top decked a drake you could've won...he could've only dealt you 2...you wouldve had him on the back swing
Standard on MTGO OMEGALUL
not even LSV can keep me interested in standard 😴💤💤💤
