I totally understand about the licking floss thing. I was taught embroidery and stamped cross stitch by my mother and grandmother. They always would wet their fingers, touch the thread to make it thread through the needle easier. Mind you this was 40 years ago. I never realized how if affected the threads and as the other stitcher on here said the ends get snipped of usually anyway! Nice haul. Love Sleepy Hollow! Thanks for a great video.
Love your WIPs! I’ve been licking floss ends since 1977. I leave my tails long enough that the ends get snipped off.
I have been licking floss since the 80s. It doesn't do anything no matter what you are told. Keep doing what you do.

I was hesitant because of the beads, and it wasn't bad at all ... it was just different, and the beads were so beautiful to stitch with

What a fun haul! I haven’t seen that Statue Mira before so that’s a cool find.
The traditional baleine carving is lovely as well, I’ve never touched one before and I was under the impression it would be a lot softer/flexible as the filter for their krill intake
I have some showing the hairs but the one I shared didn't have any, but there are hairs on them that help filter food. and those are flexible and flowy
I always lick mine and wear lip balm to help it go through the needle haha

I have never picked it up, only orders but I think it would be awesome to visit 123stitch. if you ever do go please tell me about it!
