@@ClySaga Bc it's so much better to carry your entire inventory with you at all times in order to trade it for groceries and stuff? Like...that was the initial purpose of currency. So that you don't need to drag your cow 8585 miles to the next village to trade for a couple of hens.
Honestly I think money was supposed to be the product made by smiths(the profession) and miners that collect these pretty and rare ores that people could use to decorate their stuff and protect them from the scarry stuff lurking in the darkness but some shi-poop head decided that it was some kind of magical item that should only belong to someone who's important like the leader dude or the priest/shaman instead of the rest like the farmer or hunter (the ones who were actually regularly in danger due to their profession)
Ive played as Judith and i actually like her now. She has a quirk that she hates being touched by strangers which makes her getting to know someone interesting. I recommend making over every townie to your style and playing with them at least a little bit cause they are pretty interesting
Also Octavia Moon has a drinking problem quirk but she's a pretty innocent sim. Thorne has a quirk where attracts the paprazzi so their's constantly people basically in their house! It's so frustrating but that makes it part of the game cause she's like nervous that they keep showing up when she's trying to relax and that makes her drink. Orange is like 10 and has the addicted to his phone quirk. Pretty interesting stuff i must say
I don't know why but my sims, when they get famous they always have the quirk about excellent food and the emotional one. I don't know what I do for it to happens, but it's quite boring that I don't get the others.
Now that I know those sims have, I'm quite interested in playing with them 😂

I'm American too and I also grew up thinking that "bastard" was a more casual insult or whatever. I actually had no idea that it was considered a bad word in the UK until you mentioned it. I learn something new everyday.
Yeah, American/UK/Aussie English all have different words that have different layers or bad. Like Bastard is minor here yet back over there. Cunt is bad over here and minor over there.

I renovated her house the last couple of days and I stumbled across some things that made me think that she isn't actually that well off:
1. Compared to others her actual lot is small. (Did she sell the land behind her house, or why is it public property?)
2. Her vault is empty.
3. The lighter bedroom is supposed to be hers, but the attached bathroom has a cheap toilet in it. (The she sell the massive gold toilet? Who knows.)
4.You can find some art work multiple times in her house, which makes me believe that these are just cheap art prints.)
5. She doesn't own a TV or PC.(Perhaps the repo-man came and took them? And he didn't take the armors and pictures, because he could see that they're fake.)
My theory She's a fraud. She acts like she's still this wealthy celebrity, but in fact she's broke. Her three divorces ruined her.

6. You can see her fishing, because she can't afford to buy groceries. The money that's left in her wallet is reserved to pay off her exes.

That is really interesting, but I think the sims team of whoever was responsible for it couldn`t care less about her house and wasn`t intending any kind of backstory for it :D Kind of sad that players have to make up theories based off the creators negligence to just make something at least a little bit interesting and meaningful... Judith is definitely an example of it

I think Judith is supposed to be like a Meryl Streep type but there's no middle age stage of life so like you either have an adult Judith or just elderly lol.

Pretty sure adults ARE the middle aged stage. They just encompass all of your adulthood leading up to becoming elderly. That’s why young adulthood is kind of short and adulthood is significantly longer (or at least it feels that way in the game).
We need more mean traits. Im tired of sims all being nice except ones with the mean trait. Its so boring. I want annoying sims or ones one with more gameplay impaction
Last night, my teen sim went through a “mean streak” and it was honestly really fun to have to repair her relationships when she aged up.
Like a Center of Attention trait. They get mood boosts from like, showing off their pets, posting selfies, or karaoke/ performing so they're good in those careers, but they annoy other Sims by one-upping the conversation or making everything about themselves. Kids could be more prone to making messes because they like the negative attention.

We need the ability to give our sims more traits. Not sure why they limited it to 3.

I never see Eliza Pancakes in my games. The celebrities, the Fengs (Lily is obsessed with dumpster diving for some reason), Nancy Landgraab, and the sages from RoM are freaking everywhere, but I have seen Eliza like... three times in the 4 years or so that I've been playing TS4. I tend to forget she even exists.

Can't relate, i deleted that freaking sim the moment i saw her fishing in willow creek while my sim was dying then they all stopped mourning the poor kid to freak out over her.
Me too I wanted her lot for something else....
My sim got struck by lightning and died as a toddler and they stopped and screamed over the fact that Judith was there, mourning.

I always thought Judith’s house should’ve looked like the Betty Ford clinic… she gives me serious “drunk in the daytime” vibes.. I figured that’s why she randomly wanders aimlessly about the neighbourhoods like a stray cat talking to herself and clinging on to what’s left of her glory days of fame.. Judith’s to drunk to realise she’s been cancelled.. 🤷🏻♀️

15:20 Actually, money didn't switched roles with trading right away. Before coinage they were still using trading but when they didn't had anything to trade, they used coins to represent how much debt they owed. They gave "the coin" and got the item and later, when they gave something as close value to the item they bought before, they got their "coin" back. So money evolved gradually from showing the debt to actually switching roles with trading. (i don't have any idea if my English makes sense but- lol)

"Our generation" still considers it inappropriate or at least rude to curse in work environments/ when dealing with business partners/clients/patients etc .. manners change, but the fact is, ALL generations have/develop a sense of what is okay and what isn't.
What qualifies as a curse has changed though interestingly enough, and it also depends on where you geographically. It probably would have been seen as inappropriate to say things like ‘crap’, ‘hell’ and ‘bastard’ at work some years ago, but these days it’s not so much of a problem (where I’ve worked at least).
I aways thought that shut up was a bad word and what the heck was okay. But now I know that other people think differently. I’m still staying with what I think

6:00 Actually, Judith's lot is 50x40, not 64x64. The only reason I remember is I kicked her out and moved my sims into her house for a brief period of time before I moved them back out because the lot wasn't big enough.

You have to figure out why they called the generation after the Boomers "Generation X." In demographic terms, it's basically the years when birth rates dropped significantly (1965-1978). The original term for the group was "Baby Bust," but I can see why no one wants to be called that.

The other day I was actually thinking that they could put a new category in the Like and Dislike tab where you can choose the liked or dislikes worlds and the sims will appear more often in the like ones and don't appear in the disliked ones. And instead of giving you 20 points for every like and dislike every category has 10 points🤧
What if someone just have the base game only or have a one or two packs this will make the category useless in my opinion

In the uk I’ve found that the b word (so you don’t have to approve the comment) is always used as a negative so hence seen as bad, it’s just a very old insult about being born out of wedlock (so is blaming you based off of your parents which isn’t fair). Words like the c word can be used as a friend greeting in a lot of the uk (same as australia) so isn’t seen as that bad, depending on where in the uk you are. F word and S word are cathartic, and are just used in passing to express annoyance etc so they’re not seen as that bad either.
In the america south c word is probably the worst. F & S are cathartic. B is the halfway friendly greeting.

I added a mod to my game to stop that, specifically for Henford. No Eliza, you're not stomping around in the community garden when you *don't live here*. Any other world, I don't mind as much, but not in my small village dammit.

I grew up watching my older brother play Skyrim and then playing Skyrim myself so for the longest time I had no clue bastard was a swear word until I was talking to my dad about Skyrim and gave a very enthusiastic Stormcloak impression and my dad burst out laughing and I was super embarrassed about it because I'm self-conscious over literally everything.
In the UK bastard is not that bad but the further north you go, the more of a compliment it is. Dated a northern guy for a while, always called him a daft bastard and I loved him 😂😂 He called me a dickhead, it was honestly cute lol

Look into floor plans. They have tons on pinterest. You can find homes and try to copy them in the sims. Thats what I do.

Mainly cause I was born in the 90s and the end of millennials were also born in the 90s. So us older Gen Z peeps have a lot of millennial influence since anyone from 97-00 basically did not have tech raising us (Gameboy and Nintendo DS our main tech. No smartphones until most of us were in middle school since they were invented round that time). Us old Gen z are a weird bunch lol

To be fair, things are different for everyone, for me- I was born on 2006- very well mid gen z, but I wasn't raised by tech heck, I don't have service at my house and we didn't have wifi at my house until like 2018. But that's all due to my surroundings and such (I live in a location that's just a few people over being rural and I live in the forest, not even in the community).

I play Judith ward but I changed her traits and quirks to make her good as though she had a life change. I moved her to a small house and she took up gardening. Then I had her meet the love of her life and she's pregnant now 😍

Gen x was the name used for the generation that came after the baby boomers I think? And so the generation after that, millennials, is actually gen y, and thus the generation after that is gen z. I don't remember why they decided to go with gen x for that first generation though...
I believe it's kinda like when we use x as a substitution in math and stuff. They didn't really have anything making them stand out from the other generations (baby boomers- number of babies born skyrocketed, millenials, kinda speaks for itself but the end of the millenia) so they used x as a substitution meaning they can stand for whatever is to come. They were also given another name but it's understandble why it didn't stick (they were called baby bust because since the population grew so much with the prior generation, fewer children were being born so it was like a population bust but that does sound a bit odd. Regardless though, I wish gen z was given a better name rather than just being given the continuum, technically we should've been called millenials since we're the ones being split from the millenia. Heck, the generation after us was called gen alpha- Like bitch I want that name😂

Somethings about generations:
- the generation before boomers is the "silent generation", name because of war and the amount of people that died and the crisis after thar.
- Gen Z it's the name that generation got because the generation after boomers is Gen X, and millenials technically got the name of Gen Y but then got the name Millenials.
