How do we think about prayer? We know God is and does as He wills and pleases, so many might say why pray? We understand that our thinking about God and prayer are limited,limited mostly by ourselves and lack of faith. Like you said about open doors and closed doors, why one time it was escaping and another time it was staying. What if our prayers of faith and in faith, Spirit led prayers were a way of seeing what God is doing or is willing to do through you and I the Church? If we understand that God will build His House, no doubt about it, but faithful prayer opens the doors to the believers being witnesses and participants in the power of the Spirit, would this encourage the prayer meetings, would this encourage the saints into a new realization of the gift of prayer that has been granted by God’s Grace through faith, for our benefit and God’s Glory? We have been granted access to the throne room and yet we hesitate to come. What hinders are coming, a good question to ask God. A eye opening question to ask, who will ask? It is a seeking Church that God desires, not a perfect Church, at least not on this side of heaven, we need to be open to a new way a biblical way to understand all that is ours in prayer with our Saviour. I often think about prayer as the eyes of faith, by it we see what our Father is doing and will do and is willing to do.
