That water is sooo crAAAAAzy clear!! It looks like you're in a gigantic pool!! And Jackson sounds so grown up lol. "the issue was...." made me crack up
Been waiting for your review . Very honest and great details . I’ve said it before and I will say it again . I always said never to a cruise and your videos make me rethink that ❣️
@@realnarwhal Frontierland in Magic Kingdom used to have awful mosquitos and horseflies in the 80’s and 90’s. They had teams of scientists event special chemical treatment. They were coming from Tom Sawyers island. I remember seeing something in the Orlando Sentinel about it years ago. And I have not gotten painful horsefly bites in Frontierland for decades. Wow I feel old lol
The cast member at the games with the characters was something else. Kinda reminded me of when Ben Stiller played Tony on Heavyweights, flinging his hair around lol
While Goofy is on the island and on the cruise ship he seems to have more swagger than in the theme park... same with Donald on the ship😂 They must just be in vacation mode.
It’s kind of wild to me that RCI have islands with full water parks and experiences for their guests meanwhile, Disney is like ‘throw this sponge into this bucket’ 😂
Yeah, the island looks pretty lackluster to me. I think the plants will grow in, but it's looks pretty bare and hot. I would prefer something a bit more lush and tropical like hawaii.
Hope Jackson’s surgery went well and he’s doing ok. I know how hard it is when your child has surgery. Been thinking of him and you guys and keeping your whole family in my prayers!! 🙏❤️❤️❤️
The flies made me lose my appetite. I'll be avoiding a cruise with this as a port until that situation gets corrected. I've seen vlogs where the flies were on the ship too
Yes, On the Princess side you do have to tender. Thank you for the mostly positive review of the new destination. I think it looks fantastic. I could spend all day on the beach here.
With that heat in the island, I really worry about the characters 😢 The water looks incredible! Love seeing Oliver enjoying it as much as you guys 😍😊♥️ 57:28 Tim’s laugh sound so evil there 🤣🤣🤣
I don’t know why everyone is complaining about the walk to the island, like Disney fans are not used to walk-in 😂 Last time I went to the parks I did like 30,000 steps for the day. They definitely need some sunshades though.
Not everyone who goes on Disney cruises goes to the parks. I have a family member who only does cruises specifically due to mobility issues. He wouldn't be able to make this walk.
@@erinchavez1545You can absolutely get sick from eating food where flies have landed for an extended amount of time. They can carry bacteria. A few flies in an outdoor eating area are of course expected, but this seems excessive.
Great video! Can't wait to visit this island! Your descriptions make it so inviting (well, except for all the flies). But I am confident that Disney will address that issue. Oliver was so dang cute in the water! He is so inquisitive! Looking forward to the next video!
The flies 😝 They may have to enclose the food places and have those plastic ribbons on the doors. But flies are crafty and will ride on someone’s sweaty back.
The person who needed medical attention after the junkaroo show was my dear friend. It wasn’t heat related she caught her foot dancing and fell. She hurt her back pretty bad. She was in her cabin the rest of the trip but the crew took care of her. Unfortunately she didn’t know how bad it was till after she got home to California. She is resting and trying to recover but it will be a while.
@@shereewordell2433 thank you. She fractured her L1 and is hurting a lot. She is a wonderful person and I hate this happened to her. But she said the crew was wonderful and took care of her and made sure she had food and everything when her husband went back to explore more. I’m glad she was on a Disney cruise and not another one, because they went above and beyond for her.
I have very mixed feelings about this island so far. Glad we changed our cruise and are no longer stopping there . Maybe once they control it we will give it a try !
@@Redwitch2002 that’s true ! We already switched it tho :) we were supposed to go to it early Nov on a 4 night sailing , but we changed to a 7 night in Aug . We will wait until next spring to give it a try 😊
Where is this cay? But yeah, staying on the ship is good on Cay days. I think Tim and Jen stayed on board last time they were at Castaway. I did go to Castaway but came back very early.
Is it just me or does Castaway Cay just seem more convenient to visit? Lighthouse Point seems like a one-and-done just to experience the water. Future stops would be a stay-on-board day. JMO
Congratulations! i’m so proud of you for not canceling your trip. You are brave to go on a cruise by yourself. Hope you have a wonderful time and relax and rested.
Wow looks really nice but they should use those silver spinning things by the food if they suppose to keep the flies away and move that plant i say otherwise looks fun place .....I also hope everything went well with Jackson surgery.
Wow, it’s amazing that Disney offers so many shows, crafts, photo ops, merch etc. educating about the Bahamas and their traditions - I learned so much already by only watching this vlog and researching some of the words here and there.
Maybe they should have had more indoor areas with air conditioning on the new beach destination; especially for the food and kitchen! I'm sure it would have made everyone's day a lot better, especially the people working in the kitchen.
I’m not sure what Disney was thinking not making the food spot an indoor location? That would solve the fly problem and would also be a nice area to cool off with ac!
Hi Tim and Jenn, really want to thank you so much for all the effort you put into showing us the amazing Lighthouse Point! Your hard work and dedication, even when you could be spending time with your family, truly make us feel like we’re right there with you. Your content is incredible, and I always look forward to your uploads! Hope the whole family had an amazing time ❤
That's a decent walk but it looked beautiful! That water is amazing😍. Super fun day...but then again I have a hard time believing there wouldn't be a fun day while on the cruise haha. Huge hugs and love to you guys xoxo
That water is amazing! Reminds me a bit of Half Moon Cay and Bimini. Loving the Fanatsy series, we're heading on in a few months. Haven't been on Disney in several years. Can't wait!
I have a small problem with them using the environmental 'excuse' for the dock being so long. They didn't want to destroy the environment dredging for a closer dock, BUT.... They have cut through anywhere from 3 to 15+ feet of coral atoll to build the roads to the actual activity area and have trams and other vehicles to get guests to the entertainment venues. They also appear to have stripped all the vegetation and replanted it to build the activity areas. Maybe I'm being nit picky but if you going to play the environmental card, play the whole deck, not just the cards you like. I've seen multiple videos commenting about the flies. That's a big nope for me having that many flies around food sources. I'm not sold on Disney Cruises. If I wanted that much character interaction and crowds, I'd just go to one of the parks.
Those flies turn me off. Even if you pick some food without flies, there's a good chance they laid their eggs and flew off. Gross. Where is the health department? That wouldn't last in the US without being reported.
Excited to go one day! but okay with waiting a couple years for landscaping to mature, etc. We arent a “take a cruise every year” family so i don’t want to show up wishing kinks were more worked out.
That is a long walk. There’s no doubt about that and that’s like New York City long block long that’s like walking from park Ave to 7 Ave .. it’s a hike what I don’t get is, where is the shade to walk underneath the pathway because that’s too hot and there’s no benches to take a break I think they need to make indoor dining with air conditioning to keep the flys away. Who seriously wants to eat with all those flies on top of your food like that.
Seeing that causeway reminds me of the walk out to st. Michael’s mount in sw England (Cornwall). It’s a tidal island, so the causeway is underwater when tide is in. Hearing the British accent of the pa announcer triggered the thought. ;)
Love watching your videos! The island is so beautiful and the water is so clear! Been on many Disney cruise ships and can’t wait too cruise on the Wish . I feel you give lots of tips on the cruise ships ❤

🙏🙏🙏🙏For Jackson
Gorgeous!! Tim I was wondering do you know if there is a barrier net at lighthouse?❤
Yes I have enjoyed watching the cruises 🚢 are my favorite 🙌🏽🙌🏽❤❤❤
Lots of flies is a real no no for me - the thought of them all over everything makes my stomach churn! 😊
Same, I was telling my husband that I would have to wait to eat on the boat.
Yeah. We couldn’t even enjoy our food
Agreed! So gross
sameee! When he was showing the food all I could concentrate on was the flies!!

Disney needs to take care of those flies.
Ding dang. That was insane!
what are they gonna do about it? enclose the island in a dome to smite mother nature? 😂 they can't just "take care" of them, it would take YEARS

To be fair...1/2 mile or even 1/4 mile for someone(like me) who is handicapped or has trouble walking is not accomodating.
For disabled people they have golf carts x they have to park so far away as they would damage the natural environment to go any closer x
