My husband and I went to see her last March in Silver Springs, Maryland on her debut American tour. She was enchanting, magical, adorable… she raised that small club right off its foundations and shook it with her voice. I think she cast a spell… my entire being filled with music. Its difficult to even describe. Go see her live if you can.
Eivør ❤️ can't wait to see her live in October - I think I'll cry because her voice gets right through me! "Gullspunnin" live at KVF would be great. There's a choir in the background - so so so good!
Eivor is AMAZING! She is a force of nature and one of the most humble humans on the planet. To all Eivor fans outthere who's about to go see her live, try to meet her after the show. She usually tries to meet her fans after the show and she really takes her time with each fan, talking and taking pictures. She is just awesome! I met her in Malmö, Sweden and I just melted... What a beautiful human being. You don't just listen to her music live... you experiance it! Be safe Björn
Eivør is one of the most underrated artists of our time. Pure nordic energy is rushing trough my whole body everytime. I can really feel a strong connection to my old nordic ancestors just by listening to it. One Love!
I am SO glad you reacted to this! I knew you’d love it. This is why I love UA-cam, for all the live versions of things you can’t get on other platforms. Thanks for your great reaction.
So pleased you decided to do this one. Amazing, isn't she? I've heard this song so many times by now, and I still get goosebumps all over and tears in my eyes every, single time. It's just so hauntingly beautiful and intense. Glad you liked it!
Yes, finally some Eivør, so underrated!! I would recommend all of her live songs, especially " Wake me up ", is fantastic and she goes wild in there. Thank you for giving her a chance, though!
I leave the earth every time I hear this. It really is mind blowing, her voice, ‘animal’ on the drums losing his shit, everything about it is like nothing else I’ve heard. There are so many to recommend, True Love the video is awesome but so is the live version. Have you reacted to Helvegen, Wardruna with Aurora?
Eivør is one of the very few artist where you should always go for the live performances. Live is where she really shines. I will see her twice in the coming months. First alone and then together with Heilung where she is joining their European tour. Suggestions for additional live performances is difficult. There are so many fantastic ones But here is a list which is a bit off the beaten reactor track: "Eivør - True Love | Sofar Los Angeles" "EIVØR - Surrender | Sofar London" "Eivør - Rain (stripped back acoustic version)" "Eivør - Boxes. Live recording 2012" "Eivor - Wake Me Up // RTT" "Eivør - Truth (Live at Studio Bloch)" "Eivør - Gullspunnin (Live on KVF)" Nordic folk: "Einar + Eivor, Helvegen" (together with Einar Selvig from Wardruna) "THE LAST KINGDOM | Eivør & John Lunn - Lívstræðrir" With symphony orchestra: "Eivor - Store Juleshow (DR1 TV)" "Sony Press Conference Orchestra - Live at E3 2016"
I was so happy to see her in her home village this summer in the G-festival. Amazing experience! I could recomment another song which is bit more experimental musically: ua-cam.com/video/HkZV5hKQ0_k/v-deo.html . Also a live performance.
Beautiful! One of my favoritts by Eivør is «Trøllabundin» (spellbound): ua-cam.com/video/wsl-KHGe4Kk/v-deo.html Eivør is playing several instruments, and in this one she plays a tribal drum. This is a live performance from a an outdoor consert at a mountain-farm here in Norway. Stigen is a beautiful place with a breathtaking view. Enjoy!
Watching Høgni play shamanic drums is a transcendent experience. That man goes to a whole other place when he plays, and it's like a tide that moves you along with it. I worship Eivør, but a lesser man behind that set would not have had the same impact.
If you loved this song, you have to watch (the mother of Dutch metal, as we Dutchmen call her) ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN, who was the inspiration for many Dutch vocalists such as Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Sharon den Adel etc. for going "metal". Watch a live performance of Annele (when she played with her old band The Gathering from the 90's) with a song called *_"Waking Hour"_* : ua-cam.com/video/pUKBV8M_XXE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=xenxoTG (2015; their 25th anniversary in Breda, The Netherlands)
Hi there, Norse. Awesome that you did this one🙂 This is one of my absolute performances by any artist ever tbh. Like I've told you before, I have 3 favorite female artists, in this order: 1)Angelina 2) Aurora and 3)Eivör Eivör has SO many great songs, but I have another live performance by her that I think you will like. It's called "Bridges". Here is the link : ua-cam.com/video/9t_eAw45o8w/v-deo.html Much love from Norway♥♥♥
If .... was singing this in her native language, the name of the song wouldn't be "Falling Free" don't you think 😉🤣. Btw. In Islandic = falla frjáls Btw2. Didn't know that but ....... thanks from a Dutchman who used Google Translate 😃.
If she sang it in her native language it would be “falla fræls” or “felli fræls” or “falla frí” or “felli frí” :) depending on whether she would use inflection or not. a-ending is infinitive, i-ending is first person
She has hundreds of songs, and this is the only one that is used for reactions? I didn´t even know this song, probably because her other songs are way better?

Here is a drop from me.
True Love. Live from Sofar in Los Angeles. Just her and a guitar...
But the music video is good as well. Like a mini movie...
Both so different but so good. The video is one of the best I’ve seen.

Yesssssss ❤️
I have tickets for the Oct. 15th show. I cant wait!
Im seeing her in Manchester on 22nd Oct - exactly a year on since i last saw her.

She's incredible , but the fact this was live is even more amazing
Mesmerizing!

She and her band is otherworldly. But Her life performance from 2012 song called true love is beyond them all.
Her power and pitch are incredible.
eivør has a sister, her name is elinborg. check out her song "sjórok", featuring SWAY. it's an acoustic version
The next one you should check out by her is Tròdlabùndin, there's a live version you'll see she has a flower circlet in her hair in the thumbnail

Excellent reaction for the wondeful song! I think you will agree that it was a good suggestion?
💯 Yes! Thank you. She's a phenomenal talent.

This is the first one I had done. Then, Falling Free was recommended.
Do you know what she is singing about? Her heart longed to fall into the greatest love of all! Into the enormous eternal love of Jesus❤
I’ve heard Eivør say, on stage, that this is a love song for her husband Trondur.
