Digitization should not stop at internal process improvements, but should apply into the service offerings of manufacturing companies. Innovative data-based services can create added value for customers and open up new revenue potential. Thanks to the BMBF-funded joint project, Integrated Design of Smart Product-Service Systems in SMEs (bi.smart), Precitec was able to rethink the portfolio of laser cutting heads into smart product-service systems.
