but it's not outemu either. Outemu and akko uses smaller contant pin on their switches and their version of hotswap socket is way smaller in diameter, making it incompatible with switches other than outemu
Oh that makes this even more the sweeter. Maybe I'll finally get them to answer me about it. I always get a brush off, if they are using gateron they should be happy to advertise that if its accurate.

@Engryvan hi, I got mine shipped directly from China, mine is black, comes with only white backlit (that's what I chose, other models have rgb or only cyan backlit), it has ghz and Bluetooth indicator instead of the mac/win indicator. my best beet is, they make variants based on the place they send those items to. Also i did not get the gateron switches as shown by other youtubers, instead i had to chose from cherry MXs. I hope this little info helps :)
Sorry I didn't see this! so where "QWERTY" is on the keyboard you will see "1 2 3 4 5" on the QWERT - FN + one of these while in BT mode will select that device for BT. (Short press to swap, long press to enter pairing for that specific profile)
@@EightSixMatt Too bad that there are no instructions and it's impossible to figure out. And after running the software I have no RGB. Ok, started the software again and was able to select lighting; I must have accidentally turned it off. To remap a key you have to right-click it.
The white one is actually cream/beige it's the Ajazz AK510 - the gray one is kind of a meh keyboard. It's the Zjfksdyx 70%... Yeah you read that brand name right. ZJ F**ks Di*ks is how its pronounced to my understanding.... :D
Hi, thank you for doing this review. I'm using Windows 11 for my desktop and Macbook. Can I use this to be "permanently wire-connected" using the USB C to the PC and connect it via Bluetooth on the Mac and be able to switch it on the fly whenever?
Interesting circumstance. I like questions like this because I haven't really considered. I don't have a mac to test this with but wired to PC, then disconnect and hit the switch and it should start working via 2.4ghz with the dongle, wherever the dongle is connected. **

I would be fine with a permanently-connected keyboard on my PC so I don't have to worry about charging the device. I wouldn't want to use the USB dongle as it would require me to use another USB dongle on the mac.
@@aldinlapinig I see. That should in theory work (I actually gave this keyboard to a friend a while back, I can try and ask him). In theory yes, as long as you toggle it it should swap. Alternately there are keyboards like Redragon's Noctis - I can use FN+R to go 2.4ghz and USB mode will switch off, and then FN+T to go back to USB mode and inactivate 2.4Ghz (Allowing me to swap between PC's without doing anything but that).
my epomaker TH68 and akko 3084 have that feature while you don't have to change from wireless to wired by some hard switch of the keyboard. It's a nice feature. But my RK100 does not have that feature. And you can see those hard switches at the bottom of the keyboard, you have to switch them to change from wireless to wired and even bluetooth to 2.4ghz, which is kinda anoying
Help me suddenly the white light indicator vanished and replaced by red light. 2.4ghz mode don't work anymore and I can only use it via bluetooth or wired mode 😭 what is the possible fix for this?
You can try firmware (as far as I know the RK100 still doesnt have RK software support) Here is a link, click firmware and drop down to RK100: en.rkgaming.com/download/1/ If that doesnt help FN + Spacebar and hold may reset the keyboard.
On the front of the keyboard is a charge indicator light. While it is charging the light is red. A red LED flashes when the battery is low :) Once it's charged my light goes away - if it stays plugged in the red light doesn't come on, or only does so temporarily.
It didn't, and then they had downloads for it, and now it's gone altogether so I really don't know anymore. Maybe RK discontinued it? I'm not sure why its a great keyboard in my opinion. Sorry I wish I had a better answer. It can be difficult getting questions answered by RK - I feel like they'd make great politicians sometimes.
I've had almost zero luck using BT over the years. Whether it's trying to transfer files from phone to PC or headphones with a tablet. Blech. Give me wired or wireless adapter anyday.
Bluetooth is great, but it's never hit the potential of it's marketing. I really wish I hadn't bought so much bluetooth stuff in the early 2000s when it was all junk (and very expensive junk.) Heck, IR ports worked better back then.
well, fortunately for viewers I try and keep these things handy to help. Look at your QWERTY keys, they should have numbers on them (Q/W/E). FN+ One of those to swap its BT channel, FN Long Press to pair on that channel. then just FN short press to cycle the channel to the appropriate device.
That could be a symptom of many things. Check your keyboard settings under windows and make sure it is set to your region - if it is, check to see if there is an issue with a ctrl or function key being sticky, you can also try FN+Spacebar to reset or on most of the RK keyboards or these 3: FN+Left Ctrl+Escape should reset the keyboard if the first doesn't work.
@@EightSixMatt so I was able to reset the keyboard with fn+esc. Tilde is working now. However the 4 keys at the right (pdgdn, pgup,home, del) were all jumbled. I only know this because I installed a keyboard mapper to remap them. But I feel like I shouldn't have had to do that. Currently my Del key responds as pgdn
I can see how I worded that oddly - The physical key is missing, and is instead ONLY functioned to the 10-Key instead of serving as independently existing and ALSO on the 10-Key. Most full 104 key keyboards have independent END/Pg Up/Dn and are ALSO on the 10-key (that's what I meant by double keyed though I'm no word smith, oh well). Does that make more sense?

I find it annoying that you get the 'extra' functions (arrows, insert/delete/home/end/pageup/pagedown) duplicated. Why not simply remove those keys and let people use the number pad (i.e. NumLock for numbers, Numlock OFF for normal keyboard functions) Then you can have 10 keys less... I want the keyboard 'normal' from left to F12/Enter, and then the keypad with Printscreen/scroll lock and Pause at the top.

Yep, that's the one I recently picked up. It also does not have a Win/Mac indicator. Instead those two LEDs indicate Bluetooth or Dongle wireless.

Just got min in today. Everything works fine except it does not have the MAC / WIN indicator lights. Mine has the BT and Ghz indicator lights instead.

you can also use the rk rgb app to change modes and colors it is software supported

Pretty much, the hub is 2.0 - mouse, keyboard, charger, headset dongle so on and so forth :)
Does anyone know the Bluetooth version? 5.1? Low Energy? But I'm guessing if the connection is dodgy, it's probably 3.0?
All BT can be dodgy - this is my experience even with a high end Aerox III mouse - this keyboard does use 5.1

did you adjust some stuff in the Royal Kludge software then saw a message like this "Update Settings Failed"?

Bluetooth / 2.4 Gigahertz. It's in the manual.
My girlfriend bought the non rgb for me but it has chinese welcome note and doesn't have any manuals or extra keys like yours.

The RK100 has had a few bouts with and without software support. RK kept pulling it from download and setup.
