Well I find what makes a honda fun is the way it feels, and the way it sounds. They aren't very fast, not unless you're building a super light car + highly modified B series or a tuned K. I think hondas focus is on the overall experience, I've never been impressed by the actual raw power of a honda, more by the way it all works together. The way the engines rev, and the way the transmission+clutch feels all work together to build the character of a honda. I've never owned a honda cause FWD lol

NightRush a really good buddy of mine has a 99 b16 sir that screamed like this but, when he checked it out it was running extremely low compression on the 3rd cylinder, if this is your car you should get it checked out. PS were in newfoundland ;)

It doesn't seem slow, it was pretty slow. Almost all non-turbo cars feel REALLY slow here, I bought a G35 thinking the 3.5 should feel nearly as powerful as a SR20, it wasn't. Naturally aspirated engines need to be near sea level to perform well. Also, this B16 could have benefitted from a tune.
Yeah we can pass on the left or on the right, but it is still common knowledge that the left lane is for passing/going abit faster. Only foreign people drive slow in the left lane.

Men your B16a seems so slow, go to the mecanic, because your car have problems, i have a eg8 with B16a SIR2 only with short intake and is more fast than you , your car go to 0-100 km in 10-12 seconds and my go 0-100 km in 7.5 seconds, seriosly go to your mecanic :)
Wow I'm saving up for a B16A2 swap right now and replace my d16y7 in my EK lol. Your VTEC crossover sounds so loud! Is it supposed to be more noticeable than B18C1 crossovers because I've been in many of my friend's cars with B18C1's and it does not sound as loud as your B16. O_O
yeah i agree honestly though i dont think he gives it full throttle cus stock b16 should do 60 mph (100 kmh) in like 6-7 seconds in an eg/ek/ef civic that looks like 10 seconds so no idea:P

Its soppose to acclerate faster on vtec. My toughts are he didnt step on it on the way. I have a b16 and it revs fast like hack to 8300 Rpms . Now i did a swapp of cams of JDM ITR cams it a differnet car and Vtec?? Uffff its a strong feel!!
It was never dyno'd, probably near stock 160 crank I'd imagine, even with the exhaust+intake manifolds. It isn't a open downpipe either its just a pretty loud muffler + a large diameter exhaust thats in rough shape. It could be leaky.

those engines are hard to tune and seem to on average be way below the 170hp stock.
