I never knew that the card the ref is writing on was a physical card that players kept with them to hand in at the start of a match. I just figured the ref was writing on a little note pad to keep track of things. Do Premier league players carry a physical card?

Who would be referee? The president of the home team, who else. I played top bottom league in The Netherlands. We had police waiting out fights, at the entrance of the sports park, before they would come and do something. I have seen insane goals, horrible tackles, flagsman were the opponents substitute, crazy weather, hilarious blunders. But it always ends with beers and a fat burger. Or 2.
