  • www.ted.com Marine biologist Tierney Thys asks us to step into the water to visit the world of the Mola mola, or giant ocean sunfish. Basking, eating jellyfish and getting massages, this behemoth offers clues to life in the open sea.

All these TED speakers have one thing in common... A natural love for bringing people together through their passions. I so very much wish that these events were open to the public, and that you didn't need to be an outstanding scholar in order to qualify for an invitation. Thanks for posting these. Each one is better than the previous. :)

Not a bad lecture. Good info w/o overload, and good use of well timed sight gags for humor. I've been facinated by the mola mola for a little while now and was happy to find this.

Loved the presentation (not so much the commercials, but hell, we've all gotta make a living somehow).
I'm always in awe of nature when I watch things like this.

A very engaging presentation - humorous in a strange, somewhat nerdy way.

I wish we had some Mola Mola in the Gulf of Mexico. There are way too many Jellyfish in the Gulf.

Doesn't this tagging information help destroy these fish by helping fishing corporations find the fish concentrations and thus exploit them? Sad
