I like this ride. For a Vekoma from that time it runs relatively smooth, the launch is pretty good and I like the theming in the queue. But I have to say, you can clearly see that this ride wasn't designed to be an outdoor rollercoaster or to run with only 2 trains. Lot's of wasted potential. Especially considering that it would fit the theming perfectly if this ride took place in the dark.
@@noobflakes740 If you look at the trackwork on this ride, it has several "straight sections", that look like brake runs, but there aren't any brakes in them, making them kinda pointless. If you look at Rock'n Rollercoaster, these sections do actually have brakes, turning them into block sections, so they can run more than 2 trains at once.

Just seconds before the launch my father said, ooh son, this ride had 3 loops/inversions, at that moment i hated him so much... 🤣 After the great launch, we did shoot true the firts 2 loops, and later the 3th inversion, and it was so cool 😜 Now a days it is still my favourite coaster, i think just because of this moment 😁 A few times a year i visit Walibi, and still ride this coaster with great joy.

Still the best POV of Xpress out there imo. The camera is just on the good height, and doesnt shake during the ride. Audio is also good, the lights might be defect at this POV, and it might take a while before it's getting released from the block brakes, but still, it's a very good POV of the ride.
Looked like a lame launch and it wasn't. Inversions looked so-so, but they were actually great and quite powerful. Didn't know about the theming and the queue was amazing. This coaster looks so disappointing in POVs but I was positively surprised! (But, yeah, the rest of the layout is not so good and the trains hurt your legs, so I'm not saying it's a top coaster.)
MaikelMillionaire I just have a hard time with confined spaces like that. Even Disney at least tries to make dark rides seem as large as possible with limited space so you don’t feel so squeezed.

im 10 i went on this, only ride i went on at walibi, it was really good and i almost went on untamed but i was shaking and i chickened out, ive been on stealth at thorpe park and nemesis inferno, and regular nemesis. i just dont want to be scared of roller coasters any more especially when im going to blackpool pleasure beach THIS friday. Although its mostly woodies there so i think i can handle it. Ive been to portaventura but I was like 1.1m then and i went on tomahawk but thats all i can remember. If i can force myself on the big one or icon then im good to go on swarm when i go back to thorpe park and maybe even shambhala. Back to express, i remember the launch and it wasnt that scary because i was just pinned to my seat. and then i remember this one upside down bit that was really whippy and yeah it was fun. edit: I rewatched pov and this is the inversion that was whippy 1:03
I don't dislike the ride, but it's a bit disappointing that there isn't much happening after the Sea Serpent Roll. Otherwise you just have to love the theming in the queue and during the two indoor sections of the ride.
Oh man, I agree this ride would have been so much better indoors with some demaged trains here an there. Its like Star Trek ride at Movie Park in Germany, it just doesnt fit. I guess its just to cut costs.
there is a missing "element" to this coaster, while this is a clone of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, at 0:52 there is a missing brake run, so its not a 1 to 1 clone Xpress: Platform 13 is actually a slower launch (55.9mph max acceleration and speed) than Rock n Rollercoaster (57mph max acceleration and speed)
Nederland uit Nederland The ride is still boring though. Beyond the “okay” launch and a few inversions, the second half of the ride is just a bunch of forceless turns. I’d take rock n roller coaster with its awesome ride experience over this any day.
This ride is crazy uncomfortable. I actually sprained my shoulders because they would bump into the hard restraints the entire time. I partly blame the ride operator, because he pushed those restraints way too far down. Never again. I’ve been on Goudurix in Parc Astérix by the way (which is infamous for its roughness), and this coaster was worse in my opinion.
That's a good freaking idea for theming and be more immersive. You hear the train start up and after the train started up you hear the train horn (in a scary was as it's a horror based attraction) and bam you launch.
It's a basic version of Jokers jinx. no need to call it crap. we Dutchies are pretty proud of our high velocity coasters. It's rather insulting calling it "crap". It might be, but it's OUR crap. don't insult nostalgic coasters.
My only problem with this is the lack of Aerosmith music.
