An amazingly important question that neither Coolmusic nor any of the reviewers I've seen is: What do I do when the battery dies (i.e. can no longer be charged)? Older portable amps used standard sealed-lead-acid batteries (SLAs) that have been sold for decades and will probably be sold for decades to come. SLAs die after three years whether you use them or not. My old Crate Taxi amp, for example, makes replacement easy: unscrew a few screws, disconnect the standard battery connectors, take the old battery out, put the new one in, reconnect the connectors, screw the cabinet back together. My questions for Coolmusic, which are not answered in their manuals, are:
    1) What specific batteries you use in your amps (exact models)?
    2) Is the amp built in such a way that I can easily replace them?
    3) Where I can buy replacement batteries?
    4) What are the prospects for these batteries still being sold many years or even decades from now?

      Those are good questions.
I have been considering one of these as a back up. I too have a crate Taxi and recently replaced the battery which I was able to get for about 20-30 bucks Australian from my local hardware store.
Now it's as good as new.
Have been looking at battery powered amps for busking etc. Most are pretty expensive.
These seem good for the price.

So glad you made this video. The sound of the mic sounds... less good than what I'd hoped. You just saved me the hassle of returning this thing after testing it myself. THANKS!

Perhaps plugging the mike into channel 3 would be better since it has bass, mid and treble? Most acoustic electrics have equalizers in their preamp to adjust their sound. I bought one of these and saw your review. Nice demo of the amp.I am charging it now as I guess it should be charged first. Keeps flashing for now. The manual is poorly written.

Man, same with the Joyo - No EQ for vocals, 3 for guitar? 90% of acoustics have their own!

Thanks I just ordered the 30w version of this amp and this review is very helpful . I plan to use it for busking. I play ukulele and sing in the park mostly but it would be cool to take this and be able to move somewhere with more people.

Update: so I do just love this amp. BUT it has a reallllllllll issue in the pre-amp or buss section involving the Bluetooth, USB and Phone In. Mind you, I own 2 (two of these) and while everyone would LOVE to see a few added features, like an low impedance/3 pin XLR combo input with 1/4" mic jack, and maybe tone controls for each input, it might be more important to note there is no "foot switch" feature for reverb in any channel, to pop that OFF when you talk between song.
But the real problem, of the only real ones, is that the entire buss/pre-amp section of the Bluetooth/USB/Phone In is flawed. Probably not the place here...but with Bluetooth, there is a handshake "leveling" between an MP3 Bluetooth player and the buss, that keeps normalizing and/or reseting the volume of the MP3 device. In short, you cannot get a useful live mix between mp3 bluetooth volume and channel volumes for mic and/or guitar. As soon as you increase the mp3 or phone in volume in that pre-amp, it re-hand-shakes and cuts it back.
More, is while you might HOPE record works...while you have a bluetooth or phone in connected (and it does) it also fails....over and over. Ifffff there is actually any compression...the record does NOT mix inputs the way you have them set to the main mix, but rather appears to have a mind of its own (raw mix) that makes recording worthless. More is that the record module FAILS, in the way it handles new files, playback, and continuous music MEANING, if you hope to record your full performance (either in 1 file or by stop and start to make many) it will FAIL. PERIOD. Over and over that I did song or session after session and it showed it was working by lights and dials, but DOES NOT...ending up with only 1-2 files at the end, and 2 completely empty.

Another thing I experienced, is that live...the volumes of inputs, mics and devices "fluctuates." Have not figure that one out yet, but concerned for constant power supply from the battery, or reception - I use wireless mics, and wireless guitar.
Ohhhhhh and my FIX to volume issues in the MP3/Bluetooth/Phone is buss is to buy a $12.00 bluetooth receiver, for cars. It comes with adapters for Phone In, so I plug it into the Phone in section of this bus, then pair my watch MP3 player to THAT instead of the onboard bluetooth and I can control the volume for live use.....

If you go down to the woods today, you'll hear a guy with an amp. I'm looking for an upgrade to my Boss street cube which needs batteries so am looking for built in battery.

I have the Mugig version of this amp. Good review. I do have to say that it would be really nice if they had eq and reverb on both channels. I often wonder who they are researching when they design these things. Using an add on mixer is definitely an option. But, it really defeats the purpose of having a handy, all in one busking amp.

Hey, I saw this review on Amazon, and it was very helpful, thanks. I have a need for a semi-strolling, busking sort of thing with 3-4 inputs (guitar, Mic, Mooer Drum pedal, and MP3 backing tracks). This sort of thing is hard to find, especially with tone controls on multiple channels, much less overall.
For fun, I currently use the Pyle PWMA285BT, which is mostly, but not quite a toy for Karaoke. The thing is, is is really quite loud and capable with stupid light show, and TF/USB - is lightweight and lasts forever.
But, I wanted something a bit for pro - and able to set down on ground level without being muddled out. I almost bought this, until I head your MIC part of the demo. That said, one could always use the channel with tone controls, and put the guitar into one of the others (the Mooer already has an onboard tone control, so any flat input works), but even on my acoustic electric guitar, I don't think the tone sliders have quite enough to use just that way.
That said, I've been a fan of Vangoa - in fact I have 2 of the 3/4 size electric acoustic for busking so you're not at risk in any way....
But yeah. They could certainly afford at this price to put in multi-purpose amphinol (3-pin Low Impedence) / 1/4 high imprudence inputs (at least in line 1 &2) and ADD and overall tone bank - and the DI out on back should also add 3-pin. Also the USB could/should also have TF, you should not have to use an adapter.
When I can stay in one place with A/C, I like to use two of the Custom(Powerwerks) PA-50 on small PA stands (hard to find) as they have 3 Inputs each with tone and volume (no effects which is a small downside) AND also come with DI In AND Out in 3 pin.
Everything but the Mooer is wireless, though I do have a way to make that wireless too
BUT WITH THIS AMP, I could power the Mooer (which cannot/does not allow 9V, but this amp is PERFECT)
So, I am - - - torn. Cube, Roland $499 and up. The amazing VOX Mini 5 W with 99 drum patterns and amp model IS AMAZING, but no DI, unless you know how to wire it yourself.
Anyway, thanks a bunch. I know it also matters what mic you use but for $189 even w free returns...I'm pacing nervously. I'm looking to upgrade FOR CLARITY, not mud like I heard from your demo.
    D

Sorry for the spelling. BTW, I chain the Kustoms when I go that way...but have to go side to side to adjust things with the number of devices input. With the Vangoa, the theory is I could input all, in the center of my space...and control everything in one spot, chaining to the Kustoms for added volume and side to side.

The battery life will be shortened with higher volume and any pedals you attach . To bad it doesn't have chorus but for the money wth right . Amazon is $140.00 I'll be ordering mine next week and I'll be doing a review with just each separately as well as with a pedal system and the TRUE battery life.

Good review but I really wanted to hear what an electric guitar sounded like through it. I don't mean heavy metal but could you play some jazz, blues and pop through it? People say they have used this acoustic guitar amp with an electric guitar and I just want to hear that. Thank you.

DI out doesn’t capture the sound of the ‘speaker’ the signal comes from the amplifier and bypasses the built in speaker…??? You’re getting an emulated signal not the sound you’d get from the built in speaker.

This is a good option for the money but there is a new one I will make a video for soon that has more power and more headroom that will handle mics, guitars and keyboards just fine. here is the link. www.amazon.com/dp/B08YD9DB4D?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder-t1_ypp_rep_k3_1_4&&crid=1VIRAYQGH32EQ&&sprefix=bp60
