Soo cute! I was just watching your previous video, but wanted to stop by here since it’s so early! Thank you so much for sharing your patterns and tutorials, I really appreciate your kindness and generosity. Hope this channel brings you plenty of opportunities and joy! ♥️
Thank you for your kind comment 🥺🤍🤍🤍
Thank you for this tutorial…I am going to make a blanket with all of the eye squares!
I'm almost done making this as my October/Halloween project for this year 😊💜
thank you so much !! this is so cute 💝I was hoping if you could do more sweater/ sweater vest pattern? I loved the strawberry flied one
Yes! I hope to in the future!
Omg I must make this now!!! 😍
This is soo cool!
Thank you🥰
i NEEDED THIS!!!!
I love this!!!
So beautiful 😻
Hi! I can’t wait to make this but I just wondered what type of yarn you use? I tried to follow the link in the description but it would allow me onto the hobby lobby site- I think it might be because I’m based in the uk. Thanks for your time and I love the look of this project ❤ Edit: oh my gosh I’m so sorry I just saw that it literally states all the materials at the start 😂
Hi! I was wondering what stitch you used to sew the panels together? Or did you join them with a darning needle?
Also, thank you for taking the time to make a video! The sweater came out amazing :)
I just used a darning needle 🤍 and I’m glad you like it 🥰
Just out of curiosity, is the 5th round necessary or will leaving it off affect the overall project? I kinda like how it looks without that extra border. Thank you!! This will hopefully be my first wearable project and I'm super excited to maybe get it done before Halloween!!
the squares would be much smaller, so the sweater too. Maybe use a much bigger hook als alternative :)
Hey! This pattern is SO pretty and I figured it would look cool as well as an evil eye motif - but I've got a question! Would it also be okay to just crochet the cuffs+ribbing separately, then sew it on instead? I'm new to making cardi's and I'm not sure which is a better method 😅
Yes! That’s what a lot of people do, I just personally like to crochet it to the piece itself
@@hayhaycrochet Thanks! I didn't notice it in the pattern so I asked. 😅 Also may I ask what technique or so you used to sew your squares together? Thanks again!!
I love this sm, but if you wanted to make this a 2x, how wpuld you change the pattern for it to work? Becuasw the pattern works for small to large right?
what is the size of a square on your great jacket?
Hi! I’m wanting to make this cardi but are unsure on how much yarn to buy. I noticed in the other comments you mentioned 2 skeins of grey and 1 and. Half of the others but why g skeins re you using? Are these 100g skeins? Thanks!! X
I’m also looking for an answer to this
Thank you so much for the pattern! This is going to be my first wearable item. 💜 I’ve been working on it for a couple months now. I’m almost done with the squares. 😮💨 and I was just wondering if you blocked your squares before sewing them together? Or is that necessary?
Hi! How exciting! I didn’t block mine, but you totally can if you want
super super late to the party but this is so cute! thinking of making my sister one some time, though I'll have to change the colour scheme. Is a darning needle necessary for the join? I don't have one and usually join things by using a single stitch or something. would that work or...?
Yes! Single crocheting it together works just fine!
I tried this pattern with solid granny squares instead of the eye ones. They were the same dimensions as yours and I used the same size yarn, but after I finished it was too narrow in the shoulders. I'm a swimmer so I get this problem a lot with my broad shoulders but do you have any tips on how to fix this problem for tops I make in the future?
Hi!! dont know if you still need help, or want mine since im not the creator but im a plus size gal so im used to altering patterns to fit my body. Since i’m not sure exactly what you are asking im going to answer it in two parts:
1. If you mean it doesn’t fit in your shoulder to shoulder width, i would recommend adding 1-2 extra rows of squares. Let’s use the back piece as an example. The pattern uses a *width x height* grid of 5x3 for the squares, and with the modification i mentioned your back piece would instead be 6x3 or 7x3 squares.
2. if your issue is the circumference at the shoulder/upper arm you should instead change the sleeves of the cardigan. I would recommend using one of the two examples im going to give depending on the style of sleeve you would prefer and/or the amount of width you need to add.
The first method i would recommend is gradually increasing the size of the squares leading up from your wrist to your shoulder. The pattern gives you a 3x3 square grid for the arms. And one way you could make it wider at the shoulders is adding an extra double crochet or half double crochet row to your granny squares working your way upwards. For example you could have row 1 (closest to your wrist) be the normal sized granny square, row 2 would consist of granny squares with 1 extra DC row, and row three would be the GS with 2 extra DC rows. This would cause your finished sleeve to have a more tapered look to it where it’s slimmer at the wrist and wider at the shoulder.
The second method would cause your entire sleeve to be wider and therefore give your shoulders more space. Although this method will most likely mean you need to tinker with the ribbing around the sleeve to make sure it isn’t too wide. This method would essentially mirror that of the back piece, aka adding an extra row of granny squares, this would make your sleeves measure at 4 wide & 3 high instead of 3x3.
Hope this helped!
i made one square but im wondering how would i do an extra row so its bigger? i tried repeating round 5 and its not making a proper corner
Is there any way I can easily taper the sleeves to go from 4 or 5 squares (by my shoulder/ upper arm) to 3?
Just to add also I did try looking it up through the link in the description but as I’m in the UK it doesn’t let me access the website.
Hi!! I was wondering, would it be possible to crochet this using light weight yarn or would you solely recommend medium? Thanks!
I’m sorta new to crocheting and was kinda confused on when you are starting a new round and crocheting into the chain as the first stitch where do I do that? The third chain ?
Yes the 3rd ch! Sometimes it might be kind of hard to work in, so I recommend chaining a little looser so it will be easier to work in.
@@hayhaycrochet thank you so much :-)
How was cut 🤩 By the way how many (g) of yarn do u need it ?
I’m sorry, I don’t know the grams, but I used about half of each skein linked in the description EXCEPT for the grey, I used almost 2 full skeins of the grey yarn.
Heyy can I make daisy granny square instead of eyeball granny square?? Btw the cardigan is so cutee aaaa😭❤❤❤
Yeah, you totally can!
Hello, I'm Brazilian and I didn't quite understand the type of wire, could you explain what it is? The link doesn't even open for my country.
How long did it take to finish it??
It's so cute 💕💕
About 4 or 5 days
it would take year for me! 🤨🤨🤨🤨🥲🥲🥲🥲
I cant figure out how to join the sleeves😢😢
Gorgeous.. May I know how much yarn does it take to make this?
I used about half of each skein linked in the description EXCEPT for the grey, I used almost 2 full skeins of the grey yarn.
Are you using cotton yarn? ❤️
No, 100% acrylic
So I watched it, the first 3 rounds were Bussin, but the squaring round was a flop for me, probably cause there was an extra stitch during the 1st round. 🤣🤦🏽♂️
Love the Bussin w a capital B 😭😂
Loveeeeeeeeeeeee
why is nobody talking about how the pattenr calls for 9 squared sleeves when you actually need 12 for each sleeve 😭
what is the size of each peace?
👀💖✨🌷
size of the each square pls ❤️
5inches x 5inches 💖
