Very informative as usual Tino. I haven't yet had to change a Lewmar hatch joint on my boat yet, but now feel confident I'll be able to do it. Many thanks
Thanks. Next Friday I show someting I did not notice when I first mounted the gasket, but also hard to know when there is no information on the subject anywhere.
Hi Tino! Im doing same fix for my B37 2002. Im ordering gasket from SVB, they are selling low profile and medium profile gaskets, wich one is the correct one?
The right one is low profile with 5 barbs. Remember when you slide on the frame it must sit pretty tight around the gasket, if not the hatch will leak. If so you can put on some butyl tape on the edge under the gasket to get a perfect seal. Just don't apply to much as I did in this video :) ua-cam.com/video/OljdGX23Z68/v-deo.html
Thanks. Yes I like to make videos about fixing problems many people have on their boats. There is some videos out there but they are not very clear and they often rush over important details.

Thanks Tino.
Very clear video. Thank you!
The gasket needs to be very tight. Use silicone grease when putting the frame back together.
Thanks for the info :)

Very interesting...good work!!! Thank you so much.
Would using a heat gun help mold the rubber so it's not lifted on the courners?
Yes maybe it is the right way to do it.
Love the videos btw. We've a 2003 38 bavaria nice to see you undertaking the tasks we also need to carry out and documenting it so well. Keep it up.

Ok.
Awesome instruction. great job Thank you.
