The big bird thing is called Valigarmanda and it is an entity that comes from final fantasy 6 where originally it was an esper aka the summons of that game and it was heavily tied to terra the protagonist because encountering it started the chain of events of ff6
It may not have been the best launch trailer, but it was certainly the one that I am looking forward to the most. Ever since FF16 came out, the cinematography for FF14 has improved drastically. It feels like whole another game. A small thing such as campfire scene shows it.
The campfire gave me FF15 vibes... but i do agree, it wasn't anything MIND BLOWING minus some of the Solution 9 stuff, but we live in a day where trailers are showing too much. I think we got a crumb of what Dawntrail has to offer!

Ooooh, I appreciate the info! I’m slowly getting through the final fantasy series so I’m still learning!
The Viera at the end honestly reminds me of Mydia from FFXII: Revenant Wings.
I had a google... i see exactly what you mean!
wait which Viera? If you mean the girl, thats a Hyur o:

Not going to lie I'm getting end game Xenoblade 2 vibes with Solution 9
It felt like a destiny dlc during the soldier section 😂
