@@Samuelfish2k nah, i peeled it off just fine, you need to apply more than 3 layers, i did 3 light coats and then 3 more heavy coats and one gloss on top and it peeled off just fine
For anyone who does this and doesnt remove the grille, you can put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator to block it. If you spray close enough it will overspray into the radiator
Only people who have never removed the average grille out there would say that. They are generally unnecessarily tricky to remove. Not hard, not scary, just unnecessary
I recommend doing lighter tack coat on first coat and then put it on like you were but add a 4th coat and then gloss once or twice depending on desired effect, second for more gloss but be careful because if you do it too thick it can look kinda milky.
This may sound crazy but u made me feel better, i forgot to use my resperator today when plasti dipping, and i got a bad headache and nausia after. Its been like 6 hours n still have it. But it also just got cold out today. I was nervous a tiny bit inhaled would damage me permanently.
They have hyper dip these days but this is just normal plasti dip. I spray on the heavier side to get it smoother. Just takes some practice so you don’t overspray and cause drips
Now take that car to Walmart and get those headlights fixed up for 25 dollars! We'll worth the money they will look like new if your Walmart is good that is. Took mine and the headlights look brand new for minimal amount
Honestly I was here to comment on the spray spilling onto the paint, but you peeled 'er off without seemingly damaging it. Even if this isn't a permanent fix it looks good now, and seems easy to maintain. Easy option for those without an affordable alternative.
This is the right way. Not that weak ass light coverage bullshit. Props.
Thank you!
lol whos video did you watch that hurt you
sure :D :D :D thats why dipyourcar teach to do first 3 coats very lite to bond to the material and not peel on first car wash...
@@radekdusicka1114 Do it that way and it’s impossible to remove. Then you have to buy their stupid remover to get it off.
@@Samuelfish2k nah, i peeled it off just fine, you need to apply more than 3 layers, i did 3 light coats and then 3 more heavy coats and one gloss on top and it peeled off just fine
Headlight recovery next brah
i did my headlights first 😂
Js go get a restoration kit its like 8$
Disrespectful 😂
Just plasti dip them 😂

Yeah that's what I was thinking
I was going to say the same thing. I did covered the radiator
This is exactly what he did in the video
@@solidgalaxy3339Sorta, he put plastic behind the grill and in front of the radiator. Guess you can also use cardboard instead.
Straight and to the point video, nice..
if you went as far as to removing the fasteners for the bumper u could have easily popped the grill out to paint it
srsly
He almost had it
And it cost less cause u don’t have to spend no money on tape or plastic wrap
Only people who have never removed the average grille out there would say that. They are generally unnecessarily tricky to remove. Not hard, not scary, just unnecessary
ong i know that radiator got hella paint in it

Do you have to buy the mat and also the gloss coat? Or can I just buy the plasti dip gloss
@@kostak840separate for plasti dip. They don't have a one stage gloss.
@@timsolomon8352 they have I bought it and it's awesome you just have to do a thicker layer at the 6th or 7th it's called plasti dip glossy

You’ll be okay buddy
It will pass. Just drink plenty of water. Your body will flush it out.
Damn 6 hrs Brahh- u should be fine but if you don’t feel better after 10-12 hrs idk I’d consider calling and consulting a pharmacist maybe.
Did you paint it in the bathroom? It's just a can of spray paint. You will be okay.
@@murkyturkey5238😂
What kinda paint you used to do that ? So I can go buy it and do it , thanks for the video !
plastidip - it says that in the video title
I originally wanted to do my whole grille white, wish I’d see this, before I did what I did, but I do get. Ton of compliments.
good!
You are definitely a lot better at this than I am 😂 🔥
Nice, so are you still using the same plastic dip can for glossier.. or something different?
Yes I am! same can
Bro this was CLEAN! I’m using the plastic-dip I got from auto zone. What do you suggest I use?
Thank you! Just regular plasti dip black with glossifier top coat!
Nice, I went from a white 04 Murano with dipped badges to a black 09 FX50S.
Looks good. I agree with top comment that you should clean your headlights next. Clean headlights make a car look new
I agree. But these aren’t my cars lol.
What do you recommend for cleaning? Do you have to be super gentle when cleaning or does this hold up to scrubbing off road grime? Looks great!!
Half / half mix of simple green & water works great for me!
its cool to plasti dip the grill like that? does it not get behind the grill
Thank you I’m doing my truck today auto store here I come
went pretty heavy on the first coat but it turned out great!
You are supposed to go heavy with plastidip, as heavy as you can without dripping
Looks amazing
Top job. Thanks for the video 👍🏻⭐️☺️
thank you brother !
That was slick bro 💪🏽
Clean af 🔥
You make it look easy boss
Thank you my brotha
How long does this stay
3 months
How long and well has it held up bro?
Great professional tips. Me personally, I’d just rather skip the mask up, clean up, and prep, and just remove the grill and paint it hung up.
What is the material you used? That looks like plastic ? I need to buy it
Plasti dip
JUST TAKE THE F'N GRILL OFF THE CAR.
WAY WAYYYY EASIER.
Same as doing wheels. Take them and center caps off.
Some cars you have to take bumper off
Why are you soo butt hurt? Looks like he didn't need to at all
Can you go thru the car wash or should I just hand wash it
What can I find to make mine like stick back mine are currently falling off alongside with couple other things could you possibly help me out
did tell/show the products used g, im wanting to do the same now, how dip did you use? the same you used for rims or.. ?
I recommend removing the grill 80 grit, sandpaper edge, primer and thin paint, it would last way longer.
Sand paper? Primer? I’m not using paint. This is a plasti dip channel.
Doesn’t look like you’re dipping it to me looks like you’re spraying it
That's Plasti Dip... seems more smooth and glossy than when I have done it. do they sell diff kinds?
They have hyper dip these days but this is just normal plasti dip. I spray on the heavier side to get it smoother. Just takes some practice so you don’t overspray and cause drips
What did you use for the gloss ? Just regular spray paint ?
Looks great. But Bro, please wear a mask. You don't want that in your lungs.
Nah 2k coat is the worst toxic paint ever😂
To unpeel would be to apply. Results look great!
How long will this last on the grill?
About 3 years
Annddd now you have the base model without a chrome grill
Can be used on a pc case? I mean, I live in a olace near the beach, so my pc case rusty very fast.
How long does thia oroduct durability?
U real for this one
Gotta try this one!
What paint did you use???
What clear did you use ?
Cool
I did hiper dip my car grill the same way, left the emblem chrome.
Where can i get gloss and whats the brand name of the gloss
Good job bro
Thank you so much 😀
when yu wash your car will it come off
It doesn’t come off
I got my rims plasti dipped already anybody know what can I use to make them look freshly done without redoing them ?
You should do the chrome bottom lip too
bro got a black radiator now
No he doesn’t, he put a bag/cover behind the bumper
@@Kinsterkhanwut
Did you use one can?
Can you list the products?😅
Plasti dip, and trying to figure out what makes it shiny 😂
The way you hold the cam bro, you psycho! Jk looks great!
What did you clean the excess with??? I can't seem to get it off (pause)
Ive always wondered how pausing makes it any less gay
Nice .good job
Is there a way to make that more glossy or a glass like finish?
I meant like piano black😅
1st coats 25% 2nds 75% 3rds 100% 4ths a protective layer don't listen to this dude
Next car wash that will becoming of with a jet wash, better of just wrapping it less maintenance and will last longer.
No tack coat? Why?
A lot of attitude i see. He got it done. Look good my man.
Rust oleum gives a better finish
Is it carwash proof?
perfect way when you don’t got that much money 🙏🙏
Is the gloss also easy to remove??
What brand is the gloss and plastidip
What about the right headlight?
Do you have. Video of how to take off plasti dip from grill
No but I’ll make one!
be honest how long before it started peeling
HIT IT WITH THE 3RD COAT 😁
First Gen FX 35 45
what did you use to make it glossy
Glossifier !
Bro it takes 20 seconds to pop out the grille 😂💀💀💀
Now you just gotta restore them headlights
If I start that business I’ll do that as well. But for now these are videos of other people’s cars that I do.
I want this but gloss black but I see everyone showing how to do matte
How long do you wait in between coats?
At least 15 minutes it dries pretty quickly but wait an hour after the last coat
Beautiful 😍😍😍 what clear coat did you use???
Is not a clear coat is plasti dip clear coat is clear it does not have any color
Is one bottle enough for a grill this big ?
two bottles just to be safe. but truly depends on the size of your grill.
What spray did u use plz
Now take that car to Walmart and get those headlights fixed up for 25 dollars! We'll worth the money they will look like new if your Walmart is good that is. Took mine and the headlights look brand new for minimal amount
Shouldn’t had done the logo but good job
Ewww that defeats the purpose chromes looks shitty. Everyone is different tho 💯
What did you use to cover the bumper?
Masking paper !
how to plasti dip your car brought to you by the cliche infinity driver
That would be a good one if it were my car. 🤣 . Another cliche UA-camr who probably doesn’t even own a car.
..why didnt you at least scuff the grill first?
What do u use to clean the excess
you can just wipe off with a micro fiber towel.
First time seeing the thumb technique.
Where can i buy plasti dip.paint
Clean your headlight bro they stand out more with the grill being a dark color
Damn no scuffing or anything… I’ll give it a few months before it the paint starts cracking/ peeling
It’s not paint so you’ll be waiting a while for that to happen 😂
Dude spray painting with his thumb 🤔 looks great though

Doing it your way will spray radiator and other parts... Take the grill off. Hang it. and spray... It's just clipped on. Lol 😆
the very first clip is me masking the radiator. let's do better ;)
@@THROWSOMEDIPONIT The whole video is less than a minute long and this dude still couldn't keep up.. Sheesh..

which ones did you?
Can you jet wash it after a week of applying it ????
NO! 🤦🏿♂️
After a week? Sure.
